Risking it.

The Older Brother

Brendon smirked cheerfully. His skin was tanned, he wore a cap that hid his hair. His shoulders were broad and he was undeniably attractive.

"So, whassup?", he said with his loud voice. His aura seemed incredibly confident.

"I thought this would be a High School party.", admitted Fabienne, "I didn't know there'd be college students here."

"Well, you know now, pretty lady.", he said flirtingly.

Fabienne's friends giggled nervously. They were obviously impressed by the cool, older guy. Fabienne didn't feel the same way about the situation though.

He seems so cocky. And I do not appreciate him calling me a lady. It's cheesy and demeaning. He really caught me off guard though. I probably shouldn't flirt with him - he's older. But then again, shouldn't he be the one to know better than that? Ugh, what should I do?

"Yeah, now I know.", replied Fabienne, "I just didn't expect you and your friends to party with us. We're way younger than you, after all."

Fabienne straightened her back and tried to seem just as cocky and confident as Brendon did. Hanna and Alexa shyly whispered something to each other.

"Nah, you're old enough. You're like 17, right?", he grinned while saying that. Apparently, Fabienne's comment did not strike him at all.

"I'm 16 actually. I'm in my junior year."

"Hey, I'm a junior as well. Just at a university, that's all.", he said still smiling, "Anyway, I think it's time for you to finish your cup. This is a party. Have some fun!"

And with that, he turned around and went away. Fabienne did not know what to think of him. Her friends, however, had made up their minds.

"Oh my gosh!", shrieked Hanna, "that guy is hawt!"

"I can't believe he actually flirted with you!", added Alexa.

"Yeah, I can't believe it either.", said Fabienne with a tad bit less excitement in her voice.
