What did she have over you?
What was it that made you crave?
What could I not give you?
Your hush lies found their way to me
Behind my back you betrayed
You broke me over and over
I wish I had left to save myself
She put me in my solitary place
I kept hurting for you
Coming back to you
I your loyal servant
And your love became less than mine
Why was I so entranced by you?
You pushed me to limit
She cut me deeply
Her actions, her words and lies
She enjoyed the chase
She loved the attention
You tell me to let it go
You tell me it was a mistake
But I will always wonder
What was it?
Why do this to me?
Was it her thick smile?
Her beautiful laugh?
Her thin legs that you adored?
Her neck you bestowed a silver necklace?
Her manipulative lies about me?
You bore so much trust in her
You left me to her wrath
I lost everything, everyone
I became alone
And you did not believe me
Were you tricked?
You were so nice, so naive
Were you in love with her?
And will I ever let it go?
Will I ever let myself believe it was nothing?
Will I ever believe that you are happy?
Will I ever forgive what you did?
I will never forget her answer as to why
