Beyond the light

Chapter 1: High School

"David, get up!" Sophia yells while trying to wake him up. "What just happened?" David says while waking up.
10 hours earlier:
David was starting his first day of junior year and he was trying to figure out what to wear. "I want to wear something that looks more me but, I don't see anything" David says while looking vigorously knowing he had to be at school in 30 minutes. He eventually found something and quickly ran down the stairs. "You need to eat before you go!" David's mom yells as David runs right through the door.

"When is he going to get here?" Sophia asks Charlotte. "Umm, I don't really know actually." Charlotte says while looking. While they do that David see them and runs towards them. He didn't completely look what was in his way while doing so. While running, David stepped on a random crack on the ground and fell. "David get off the ground!" Charlotte yells while her and Sophia start laughing at him. David looks to see what made him fall and didn't see anything. He was confused but Sophia gets him off the ground. "We got to get to math before we get in trouble!" Charlotte says while rushing to the class.
"I don't get why you care so much about getting there." Sophia says. Sophia didn't really like the class. She just made jokes in the class and always put off the homework. "I mean we still need the class while you don't." David states while brushing himself off. "Whatever." Sophia says while laughing. They start rushing to class.

They sit in class bored as hell. "Pissss" Sophia whispers to David while giggling. "What" David says back to her.
"I don't know" Sophia says while laughing.
As Sophia laughs she sees something black walk across the class. When she realized she falls back out of her chair. "SOPHIA!Are you ok?" Charlotte ask while jumping over to her. Sophia gets back up and acts like nothing happened. "I guess I just laughed to hard" she says in a unsteady voice. As Sophia got back to her seat she was wondering what said saw and disregarding the teacher that was yelling at her.

The three start heading to lunch. "Sophia what did you see" David says while getting a tray. "Nothing" Sophia says quietly. "Mhm" David says while giving her a look.
David walks out of the line getting ready to walk to their table. David sees a dark figure and it comes right in front of him. The figure pushes him, hard enough for him to black out.

"David, get up!" Sophia yells while trying to wake him up. "What just happened?" David says while waking up. "You blacked out" Sophia says while getting him up. "Uhhh, guys", Charlotte says with a little fear in her. Sophia looks and then drops David. "Ow, what the hell!" David says in a angered tone. Sophia stands still too scared to move. David looks and sees everyone is frozen still. "What is going" Charlotte says with a concern voice. David gets up and looks around. Everyone seems to be frozen, lifeless. David walks and sees one girl that can still move. He yells out to her but she runs. The three went running after her trying to find answers.
