When Sidharth's car reached the hospital Shehnaaz was in a very poor state. However, the doctor shifted her to a cabin and started the treatment . A doctor called Sidharth and informed him that Shehnaaz's labor has already started which is not supposed be taken as a good sign.
_' Dekhiye, twins bachche vaisey hi kaafi weak hote hain . Womb main less space ki wajah se weight kam hota hain. Upar se one month premature......no no we can't deliver them so early. Bachche ka Lungs development last month main start hota hain. incubator can not help them. Aur one week kisi bhi tarah se nikal jaye, phir koi problem nehi hogi.' Doctor told him.
_' But doctor , she is feeling strong contractions, she's in so much pain. Ek hafta keyse nikal jayega? She needs to deliver now !'
_' That's not a problem. We will stop her pain and extend the gestation but the problem is, kya aap raazi hain? Do you give your consent? '
_' Why won't I ? I agree doctor. Aap jo Thik samjhenge wohi hoga. '
_' No no. Aap puri baat sun lijiye. There is a risk in that. Wo cervical stitch abhi bhi hain isliye normal birth nehi ho rha but stitch par pressure increase to ho rha hain. If we won't take out the babies the stitches can rupture the uterus. Aur stitch open kar diya to water break ho jayega. In that case delivery will be a must.'
_' I'm sorry doctor, can you repeat that ? I'm very worried . Samjh main nehi aa rha kuch bhi. ' Sidharth said in a shaky voice.
The doctor repeated his words. He told him about the risks that depends on Sidharth's decisions . If the doctors deliver the babies, they will have to suffer from a permanent lung disorder and if not, Shehnaaz's condition will somehow deteriorate as her uterus could be wounded . Sidharth had to choose any one way. He became very nervous. Grabbing his forehead strongly he bites his lip again and again but couldn't reach to a decision.
He replied _' Mujhe kuch nehi samjh aa rha main kya karu? Doctor please tell me, what will be better ? Please help me out. '
_' See, there is less probability that she will get affected . But your children will surely have very low functioning lungs if they are taken out now . I think, we should stop the labor and wait for a week. '
Sidharth took almost five minutes and finally replied _' OK doctor . I completely trust your decision. '
He came to her cabin . Shehnaaz was already given drugs that will ease the pain and put her in sleep. She was still having very strong contractions. Sidharth sat beside her bed and told her _' Abhi pain thik ho jayega. Relax baby. ' he was feeling very low seeing the intensity of the suffering that she was going through.
_' Kiyun Sidharth? OT nehi jana? '
_' It's not the right time Shehnaaz. One week wait karna parega . Pain kam hua? Neend aarhi hain to so jao baby. '
_' Koi complications to nehi hain na? Are the babies okey? '
_' No complications sweetheart, not at all. ' he lied to her.
Then he asked a nurse to lower the bed so that Shehnaaz could lay down keeping her legs slightly raised.
Rita Ji came in the room. She was crying silently. Sidharth had already told her about the complications. She asked Shehnaaz _' Dard abhi bhi ho rha hain beta?'
_' Nehi mom. Ab zyada nehi ho rha. Tum ro kiyun rhi ho? Kuch nehi hua mujhe. Sabko ye dard sehna parta hain mom. I'm fine, dekho. ' Shehnaaz said smiling.
Rita Ji caressing her face said _' I know meri jaan. You are my Sherni! I'm so proud of you. '
Rita Ji kissed her face and asked Sidharth to leave her so that she could rest. They came out of the cabin. In the corridor, Sidharth hugged Rita Ji and started weeping
_' I became so selfish mom. Maine sirf bachcho ke baarey main socha. Shehnaaz is in so much trouble. Uska condition kitna kharab hain. I didn't care about her.'
_' Nehi beta. Tumne sahi kiya. When she'll know you decided this she'll be happy. ' Rita Ji tried to console Sidharth.
_' No mom. How could I put her in this trouble. '
_' Sidharth, I'm very sure, there won't be any trouble for her. Wo bohut strong hain. She will be OK.'

_' Sidharth , tum raat bhar nehi soye na? ' Shehnaaz asked. He had come to meet her in the morning. Seeing his tired face Shehnaaz could easily guess that he hadn't slept last night.
Sidharth nodded a no. Last night he was in a miserable state of mind. Shehnaaz touched his hand.
_' Why are you so stressed? Mujhe kuch nehi hua. Aur jo bhi hua hain, mujhe pata hain. Meri baat ho geyi hain doctor se. I know I've developed some complications but believe me, I'm not afraid. I can face it.'
_' Seriously? You know everything? Baby , I'm so sorry. Mujhe samjh nehi aa rha tha kya karna chahiye. Then I thought, if I'd ask you, tum eysa hi kuch karti. That's why I...... I couldn't sleep the whole night. Bohut darr lag rha tha. Please jaldi se thik ho Jao. I can't see you in so much pain. '
_' Ha Sidharth. Main bhi wait karna chahti hun. Kal pata nehi kya ho geya tha. I was literally dying in pain. That's the worst pain someone can ever imagine! Thank God, the doctor said they'll do my C section. Normal delivery will be a horrible experience for me ! Thank God, I won't need to face that. Tum university chale Jao. Late mat karo Sidharth. I'll call you later. '
Shehnaaz assured him that she was absolutely fine . So he could attend his work . But he was not ready to leave her so easily.
_' Nehi, mujhe nehi jana.' He said like a stubborn kid.
_' Tumne kuch khaya bhi ya nehi ?' she asked . Sidharth kept quiet and looked away to avoid meeting her eyes . He was visibly guilty. He didn't eat or sleep or bathe or shave. He spent the night sitting on the armchair.
_'Please Sidharth, don't do this to yourself. Why are you behaving like this? ' Shehnaaz looked very annoyed .
_' Main Kuchh kha lunga , hospital ke canteen se. You don't worry.'
_' Stop behaving so irresponsible Sidharth. If you want to take care of me and the children, first you have to take care of yourself. Ek din main kya ho geya hain tumko ? Tum abhi ghar Jao. Take a bath and eat properly. Then rest for at least an hour. Please Sidharth. Now go home. ' Shehnaaz literally forced him to go out.
_' Ye to Sherni hi hain. I can't believe, she's so freaking fearless! ' Sidharth murmured while walking through the corridor. He was feeling terrible until he met her today morning. But her presence, her smile seemed to him like a ray of sunshine. He started feeling happy and relaxed. Returning home he took a refreshing shower, then jumped straight in his bed to take a nap.
