Fairy Dust

I could feel the wind blowing through my hair. I sort of wanted to just stay like this forever. Then I remembered.

The fairy dust.

I picked it up and slammed it on me.
Think of a wonderful thought. Any happy little thought.

Eggs.
Roast marshmallows.
AAAAAAAA!
ALEX LIDDELL?
WHY ISN'T THAT WORKING?
Um...
....no ...please don't make me do it...
...Harry Hook?

I began to fly, but it wasn't enough.

Darn my stupid heart! Why is the most wonderful thing right now Harry?

You've got to fly. Fly and save Harry from her.

I began to fly, circling the building to the opposite side where I fell. Uma and Harry had run, trying to see if I was dead. I picked up a nearby sword and snuck up behind Uma.

BANG

I hit her on the back of the head and she fell into my arms, unconscious. Harry spun around, holding his sword to my throat.

"Oh. It's just you."

"It's good to see you too, Hook." He smiled and pulled me into a hug.

"I thought you died."

"Me? Died? You don't know me as well as I thought." He chuckled and let me go. "And another thing. Since when did you hug?"  He pulled away and mumbled "shut up."

"Hello!" I span around, pulling out the sword just in case, to see a small boy wearing a bandana around his head. "I'm Gil!" I smirked and shook his hand.

"I'm Penelope." Harry hissed at me using my own real name, which, thankfully, Gil just ignored. He skipped back into the fish and chip shop, whistling the tune Uma just sang.

"Why would you use your real name?"

"Because I didn't know I shouldn't." Harry rolled his eyes and scoffed.

"I thought you were smarter than that."

"I specifically remember telling you I don't have a brain so I can't be too clever." I walked past him towards the door back into the fish and chip shop to see a group of pirates cheering. What did I do?

"SHE BEAT UMA!"

"SHE IS THE FIRST SINCE..."

"Isn't using pixie dust cheating?"

I smiled and tried to leave the shop. People were asking me questions left, right and center. It was mainly 'what's your name?' After a while of trying to leave, I jumped onto a table and whistled, causing everyone to spin my way.

"A lot of people have been asking for my name and you know what? I'm gonna tell you. My name is Penelope. Penelope Cheeta. Anyway enjoy your days because I'm tired and I'm gonna go home." And I jumped off the table and left the shop. Harry, Queenie, Hanna and Cassy followed me as I wandered through the streets. We passed an abandoned building and I stopped abruptly.

"What is it?" Hanna came in front of me. I ignored her and continued to stare.

Why do I feel like I've been here?

I saw a small piece of metal on the floor and bent over to pick it up. It said one word.

"Penelope? Are you ok?" Queenie tried to look over my shoulder but I shoved it into my pocket.

"I'm fine." I said, way too quickly. I walked away, making a mental note to come here later. "Let's go."

"Alex this is ridiculous! You can't seriously be considering this."

"I'm not." Bella's shoulders relaxed. "I've already decided."

"WHAT?!" She shrieked at the top of her lungs.

"Sorry Bella, but there is nothing to lose when you are lonely and friendless."

"You're not lonely or friendless. You've got me."

He completely ignored her.

"The price that I'm willing to pay is expensive." She raised an eyebrow, not noticing that Alex had taken someone's wallet. "£50! Score! And a book club membership. Awe and a little dog picture." Alex smiled.

"HEY GIVE THAT BACK!" And Alex began to run, forgetting about his fairy friend next to him. After running through several corridors, dodging the attacks from the man running after him, until...

"ALEX!"

"Hello ugly godmother." Alex grinned and bowed mockingly.

"Give this man back his wallet." She smiled.

She's being too nice. What have I done?

"Why? Finders keepers. Am I right?" Alex crossed his arms and tried to act as smug as he could.

"Give it back or I will be forced to take drastic measures." She growled, clearly agitated by Alex's stupid behaviour.

"Have you found Annie yet?" He raised an eyebrow. She tensed up. "Well maybe you should be looking for her instead of chasing after a teenager. Now if you'll excuse me." He pushed past her, snatching her purse while he was at it. Before she could notice, he ran as fast as he could.

"ALEX!!" He cackled and bumped into something hard. "You need to stop!" He turned red out of anger. "Stop pining after a girl who doesn't even like you back."

"Leave me alone!" He yelled, spinning around and trying to get as far away as possible from her.

"Please Alex. Let's be honest. She was a terrible friend. It was only about her. She never really cares for us." This comment broke him. His skin felt like fire and the small monster in his stomach itching to destroy her.

"How DARE you.."

"Alex! WE ARE FRIENDS, PLEASE..."

"NO! WE ARE NOT FRIENDS." He shouted, causing everyone in the corridor to look their way. "I DON'T WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH SOMEONE WHO BRINGS PEOPLE DOWN FOR FUN!" Everyone seemed to flinch and tears threatened to spill out of Bella's eyes.

"FINE THEN! WE ARE NO LONGER FRIENDS!" And she spun around and ran away.
