A New Threat

"It's safe to come out Jess, he's gone." I say. "Thank you girls, thank you." "No problem." Abigail says giving Jess a warm smile. "You guys are the best." Katey says. I love her cute high pitched voice. "You rock to." Abigail says. Will came through the door. He must've been running since he was breathing heavily. "Will? Where's the others?" "I don't know. Bandits attacked and we got split up." "What about my brother?" "Sorry Clem, last time I saw Jake was before the ambush." "Kendra?" Abigail asked. "All I know is she went with Clem's brother." "Well she'll be safe." I say. "We all know that. He's protective over my sister. Over me and her to." She says. "What about my mom and dad?" Asked Katey. "Sorry sweetie. No word on them." Katey looked down in sadness.

"Anyway I'm going to go back out there to see if I can find anyone." Will said. "I'm coming with you." I said to him. "Yeah, me to." Abigail ran beside me. "Jess you staying here?" Will asked. "Yeah I ain't in any shape to go on a rescue." "That's fine." We walked down the stairs and began to look. "A man came to the motel." I confessed. "Really? What is his name?" "Miller Johnson. He said his name was Sam though." I say. "We better find everyone and move out." "Where?" Abigail asked. "I don't know, Jake will figure it out." "Let's hope."

Bruce came out of the same store we were in then the walkers attacked us. "There you are." He said. "Where's everyone else?" Will asks. "Well my uh, my wife's, gone." He said with a sad expression. "Jesus christ, I'm sorry." "She died of a walker bite. She didn't tell me until earlier today. Goddamnit how am I gonna tell Katey?" "We'll help you." I say. He slightly smiles. "We should go find the others." Abigail says. "Yeah both my brother and your sister are out there." "Bruce when is the last time you saw them?" Will asked. "Last time I saw them is before the bandits ambushed us." "That's nearly the same thing I said to these girls." "Let's go!" I shout.
