"Ore, aren't you coming with us?" Martha asked sparing Mercy a glance. Mercy was shuffling through a few clothes in her wardrobe partially focused on what she was doing.Ore was bundled up in a blanket and snuggling comfortably on her pillow.
"Nope, I'll pass." She yawned.
"Look it's valentine's eve and even the holy Mercy," Martha pointed a finger at her and snickered, "is coming along with me."
Ore laughed. "Which one is holy Mercy again na?"
Mercy huffed. "I tire o."
She raised a baggy jean above her head and scrutinized it in the electric light bulb.
"I think I will wear this with a nice top." Mercy folded the cloth and put it aside.
Martha perched on the edge of Ore's bed and eyed her warily. "Did you quarrel with Dami again, this one you are acting like this."
"No, why would you assume that?" Ore asked turning to give Martha a suspicious stare. Martha raised a hand up in form of defense.
"Nothing, it's just you have been consistently moody and it's affecting the rest of us," Martha sighed and stood up.
"I am going to get dressed and go out there to get something for this secret crush of mine," Martha squealed. Ore grinned watching the way Martha was hopping about like a rabbit, giddy with excitement.
"And who could that be?" A knowing look flitted between Martha and Mercy and they both blushed and looked away.
"Do you guys know something I don't?" Ore queried with a hint of accusation in her tone.
"Well," Martha shuffled about her feet before raising her head up. "It's Mercy's brother, I have seen him twice and those times we talked really well."
"Hmmm," Ore beamed. "I have to agree though, he is very engaging but I dislike the fact that you chose to keep that away from me when I tell you almost everything."
"Ahhh, sorry jor," Martha jeered. "So would you come with us instead of staying bored cooped up in here?"
Ore wrapped her arms around her for warmth.
"I don't know," she stated. "I mean I want to get Dami something but I have no money."
She frowned and made a small pout. "So it's better for me to just be here throughout you know?"
"Ermmm," Martha thought for a while. "It's alright, I will lend you some cash but you have to pay me back the minute your parents send in your monthly allowance."
Ore nodded assuredly and smiled, then she hugged Martha and patted her on the back.
"Thanks baby girl, you always come true for me, you are my real gee."
