Chapter 8

A week passed by just like that. Everything went back to normal just like it used to be. Jungkook didn't get anymore reply from Van Gogh and nor the Van Gogh posted any drawing this week.

Just like every other day, YN entered her classroom and sat beside Fay. Jimin and Jungkook were sitting on the first bench and scrolling through their phones while others were busy, doing what students usually do.

The class was in a complete chaos till the teacher came in and suddenly everyone became quiet and took their respective seats. Then the class went on peacefully.

  
"Okay everyone, today I'm going to hand over the questionnaires to all of you and I'm giving you one month to complete this project." Saying this the teacher distributed the papers, earning a sigh from the students.

"Now listen carefully. You all are going to do this project in pairs and I've randomly selected your partners. Your partner's name is written on the questionnaire. Now read it carefully and ask me if you have any query."

  
"What the hell! Are you kidding me right now!" YN mumbled under her breath.

"Wow, I've got Jimin. Who you've got?" Fay asked and then looked over at YN's paper. Well, her mouth hung open in surprise as the name written over there was none other than the Jeon Jungkook.

"Ma'am, I want to change my partner." Two voices echoed through the class room all of a sudden. To be specific, one was YN and the other was Jungkook. Now everyone's attention was diverted towards them as their hands were now raised up in the air.

Being curious, Jungkook turned his head back and saw YN with her hand raised. Then he realized that she was his partner and she also wanted to change her partner. Who would want to change her partner if it's Jeon Jungkook?

The teacher looked at the list for a moment. "You guys are each other's partners. Okay if you both want to change then....."

"I don't want to change anymore," said Jungkook before the teacher could finish her sentence. At first he wanted to change because he didn't want a female partner as they were mostly fan girls. But now that the girl was rejecting him, he didn't want to change anymore.

"Are you sure, Jeon?"

"Yes ma'am, I'm completely sure."

"But I still want to change." YN chimed in, earning a gasp from a few of her classmates.

"Sorry dear, if your partner doesn't want to change then I can't help." Saying this the teacher exited the classroom.

YN was quite furious and glared at Jungkook for a moment who was now looking at her from the front seat. Before he could approach her, she ran out of the classroom followed by her best friend Fay.

  
"Why are you so angry, YN? I think this is pretty cool." Fay exclaimed in a jolly mood as she was running behind YN, trying to catch up with her.

YN didn't say anything and kept walking faster and finally stopped in front of her locker. She opened it to take out some of her books.

"Can't you see, even the whole universe is trying to set you guys together. There's no point in running away." Fay said with dreamy eyes while leaning on the lockers behind her.

Fay kept on blabbering nonsense to which YN didn't pay any heed and then suddenly a group of seven to eight girls came towards them. Pushing Fay aside, they encircled YN.

"So you're Jungkook's project partner, ha?" One of the girls said but YN didn't turn towards them. She kept sorting out her books in the locker.

"We're talking to you miss whatever?" Another one said and this time pushing YN's shoulder.

YN was already angry and the girls were testing her patience. Then suddenly she closed her locker with a loud thump and turned back to look at them, which made them flinch.

"Yes I am, so what do you want with me?" YN asked with a straight face and crossed her arms.

"We came here to warn you. Don't you dare try to do anything with Jungkook." Said the girl, standing right in front of YN with a smug face.

"What do you mean by do anything? Rape him? Why!.......can't your baby boy protect himself, ha?" YN spat with a sarcastic tone.

The group of girls didn't expect this type of reply. As YN was socially invisible, they thought it'd be easy to bully her. But guess what? YN wasn't the softy or whiny type of girl who could be messed up with very easily.

She maybe the Cinderella of this story but she's not that type who is soft towards everyone and talks to rats.

  
Now the girl standing in front of YN was glaring at her. If only stares could kill, YN would be dead by now. But the glaring contest was interrupted when someone cleared his throat, coming towards them.

"If you girls are done, then can I talk to my project partner for a moment?" Jungkook asked with a straight face.

The girls were now quite flustered at his presence and smiled softly at him. Before walking away, one of them turned their head back only to glare at YN for the last time.

"So I was saying that......" Jungkook started.

"I don't have time to talk, I've another class to attend. Let's meet at the library after the class to discuss the project." Saying this YN walked away without giving him a chance to speak.

Fay was standing there and comprehending the situation, she gave a awkward smile to Jungkook and ran behind YN.

Jungkook just stood there dumbfounded. First she didn't want to be his partner and now she walked away being rude! He never imagined that a girl would treat him like this, well except Van Gogh.

 
  
Are you wondering why he didn't recognize her voice? Well let me explain. The day of the ball YN had a slight cold and sore throat which made her voice a little hoarse. So he didn't hear her original voice that night.
