His eyes hid so many demons.

His faint happy souls.

He couldn't believe the way her eyes displayed the demons.

His green eyes barely showed the demons hiding when he's with her.

All his demons seemed to disappear.

The pain throughout his body left suddenly when she did that one thing.

She asked him, "I see the demons hiding in your eyes have disappeared."

He just looked at her and admitted, "That's because your love made them go away.'

Then he thought back to the day in the hallway.

Her cries for help.

He remembered the people walking past her not even glancing in her direction.

He rushed to her side to if she was alright.

She just nodded her head vigorously as she attempted to stand back up after what just happened. "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine."

She walked away as he whispered, "Can I make sure you're fine?"

Every day he always asked how she was even though the demons behind his eyes were eating him alive.

She always replied with, I'm fine.

Even though he saw the darkness seep through her eyes and her realized that her demons were way more powerful than his.

His were the calmer type.

Hers were the ones that slowly made you fall apart to the point where you commit suicide.

The story behind his eyes revealed more about himself than hers ever would.

After all he didn't even know her name.

He decided to ask her one day. "Hey, what's your name?"

"It doesn't matter Alex.. I don't matter." Then she walked away quickly as she slowly faded away from his view.

"You matter to me." He whispered as the tears rolled down his face.

He realized that she dropped her notebook and as he opened it, a piece of paper fell out.

It said:

My worst enemy that I've become

The hate in me has grown

My demons are destroying me

And everything I've known

The rage I placed inside me

Has stole away my hope

I'm breaking slowly everyday

I don't think I can cope

I need you now to show me love

To help me ease this pain

And help me heal my heart before

I drive myself insane

I plead you to be there for me

My pain has grown too strong

Please save me from myself, my love

I may not last for long...

He wanted to chase the stupid demons away.

The story behind his eyes hid that courage to do so.

He noticed a drawing of hers in her notebook.
