Her house was quiet.
The silence was getting to her.
Suddenly she heard the door open.
"I'm hooooome." The familiar woman shouted. "Lilly!"
The silence sucked her in.
Her mother was home.
Her insides churned as she knew that the woman that left her abandoned with her father all her life, was finally home.
"Lillian Prescott, get your ass down here!"
Lilly froze in her steps.
Her mother can't do this again.
She can't just come here, beat her, then leave again.
Lilly heard her mom coming up the stairs. "Hello Lillian." Her mom said with a devilish grin.
"Hello Scarlett."
"Call me mom please."
"Why should I call a bitch like you mom?"
"Because Lillian, I'm your mother. I gave birth to a disgrace like you."
"Disgrace? What's wrong with you? At least, I don't abandon my child for sixteen years!!" Lilly screamed at her mother.
"Lillian! I only fucking did it to protect you!"
"Protect me?! From what?! Your dark fucking soul?!!!!"
"Lillian calm down!"
"Calm down?! Calm down?!"
"Lillian Prescott, do I as say."
"First of fucking all, my name isn't Lillian. Its Lilly. Second of all, I fucking hate you, y-you bitch!"
Lilly stomped out of her house and ran to the meadow.
The meadow where everything was calm.
"Lilly? Is that you?" Alex said while walking up to her.
He hugged her from behind making her heart melt.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
Alex and Lilly sat down in the meadow.
Alex picked flowers and formed it into a crown.
"I love it." Lilly said as Alex gently put it on her head.
"It makes your eyes glow." Alex said.
Lilly blushed.
"Lillian!!" She heard her mother scream.
"Who's-" Alex began to say before Lilly cut him off. "Shhh Alex!!"
"Lilly? What's going on?" Alex whispered as they laid on the ground hidden in the flowers.
"My mom is back. She's gonna kill me." She gulped. "When I was just a newborn she left me. Its been sixteen years but I remember what she told me. She clearly said that when I turned sixteen she would come back and kill me. Slaughter me. Make my life a living hell."
"Lilly, calm down." Alex engulfed her into a hug. "Its gonna be alright. I'm here now."
"I can't calm down Alex. She will kill me. She'll do whatever it takes to kill me too. She even said so herself in a note she left on my pillow two years ago."
"Lilly, baby, c'mon. I won't let her hurt you. I promise."
"Alex, you don't know her like I do. You'll never understand. You don't know what I've been through with her."
"I won't let her ever hurt you. I promise with all my heart Lilly. Trust me."
"Okay Alex. I will."
Alex took Lilly's hand in his and ran as fast as he could with her to the woods near by.
"No one goes here hardly, except me." Alex said.
"Why do you hang out in these woods? I've heard a lot of people died here."
"A lot of people have Lilly." Lilly looked at Alex wearily. "I'm not gonna kill you, love. I promise. I'm just getting you away from your mother."
"Okay Alex."
He took her hand in his and lead her to the place in the woods where he loves most.
Lilly's Garden.
