Memory Dead!

Shays P.O.V

"Hi hunny. Just wondering what your up too! Me and the kids miss you! Especially Avia! Call me back ok? I love you!"
'Beep'
I slowly get up and tip toe out of the hospital room so I can call colette back. Aria is peacefully sleeping right now. I decided to stay the night with her at the hospital after I realized how alone she really is. The nurses are going to call child services first thing tomorrow morning. I can't stand to even think of her going back to where she lived.
'Ring ring'
"Hello?" Colette answered
"Hey babe, sorry I missed your call. We need to talk." I say.
"Is everything ok?" She asked.
I start to explain to her everything that's been going on. Colette always gets upset about this sort of stuff. She started to sob into the phone. While I reassured her she's safe now.
"But she's all a-alone Shay. Thats got to be really hard on her especially where she's so y-young!"
"What if we adopt her?" I blurt out. What am I crazy? But she's different and I like her. I don't even know her though!"
"We already have 5 kids! How will that work?" Colette asks.
"Think about it for a minute. We can afford it. There will be lots of room in the new house in Idaho! It might seem crazy but why not!"
"I'm not sure about this. I mean... I don't even know what she looks like."
"That's ok! Fly up here with the kids. Meet her. She is an amazing strong person for what she's gone through. I know you'll like her! I know adapting is out of your comfort zone but I really think she depends on me. I think she trusts me even if she won't admit it. She needs a real father and mother in her life and I know we can do this!" I rant. There was a long pause. I could tell Colette was really thinking about this.
"Ok" she says "tomorrow I'll book tickets and we'll fly up."
"Seriously?" I question. I can't believe this! I know it was my idea but it seems unrealistic! We might adopt a child!

Arias P.O.V
I wake up still in a stupid hospital bed. I look around the light blue boring room. It looks like the sun is just coming up now. Across from my bed I see Shay sleeping in a chair. Oh gosh did he stay here all night? I start to twist and turn when I realize these beds aren't that comfy. I stop when I hear something moving. Oh yah.. Shay is here. Wow it's like I'm memory dead!
"Good morning!" Shay suddenly said.
"Uh. Hi."
"How are you feeling?" He asks.
"A b-bit sore. And a little headache." I complain.
"I can go get a nurse if you want."
"Oh please no. They annoy me with there concern of my pain!"
"Haha alright." Shay laughs.
"So..." He starts. "You do understand child services will be called today? You can't go back to your father. It's not safe."
"I know." I say staring off at nothing. I do this a lot when I don't like what we're talking about.
"I have a brother. I can just chill with him until I'm old enough to survive on my own."
I don't hear Shay for a minute so I turn over to him sitting beside my bed looking at me with an 'are you serious' look.
"Your telling me you want to grow up around a brother that abandoned you with your abusive father rather than be put in a loving family?"
"There's no way I could be put in a 'loving family' they don't exist! And if one did they wouldn't be willing to give that up and adopt a needy burden mad child that's over sensitive and..and.." I can't stop crying now. I look away from Shay, it's too much. I feel the bed sink in a bit then feel arms wrapped around me.
"Shhh. It's ok Avia. Shh" Shay continued to sooth me back into a mental state where I'm calmed down and not crying. He went to get up to sit back beside the bed but before he could I grabbed him.
"Why did you call me avia?" I say.
"What? I did? I'm sorry! It's just I have a 9 year old daughter and when she cries I do the same thing to calm her down. You just reminded me of her. I'm sorry." Shay said
"Umm.. I had a sister named avia but she was taken away when she was born."

So I started a new book called blind bitch. Its an Ed Sheeran/one direction with a bit of 5sos fanfic. The main character represents me and the main characters best friend represents my best friend!
