Day 4

Rachel hadn't wanted to come in this morning but she hadn't been able to bring herself to tell her dads of her humiliation. Also, her dad was a doctor so she couldn't fake illness. She had had a hard enough time trying to convince them she was okay this morning, considering her appearance. She stood in the carpark staring at the school, this was the first time shed genuinely considered skipping, even considering everything shed been through before. It wasn't like Quinn Fabray hadn't publicly or virtually embarrassed her before. It was just different this time. She wasn't just the laughing stock of the cheerios, the entire school had seen her at her worst. Possibly the worst bullying moment of her life was plastered across the internet. To add insult to injury, she looked absolutely awful today. She had dark circles under her eyes along from looking at the comments on the video. She also had red cheeks from crying at said comments.  As a result of a lack of sleep she had just grabbed the first clothes she could find so she basically looked and felt like shed spent the entire night in a bush.

She felt a tap on her shoulder, it was Kurt. "Hey Rach" she wasn't sure if he'd ever named her so affectionately before but she couldn't fully remember much right now so she just went along with it. "Hey Kurt" she couldn't bring herself to remove the dejected tone from her voice.

"Do you want me to walk you in?" She could hear the empathy in his voice. Although her and Kurt didn't always get along she knew Kurt had been through some rough bullying in his life and she was grateful to have him here.  Also it probably showed from her appearance that she was completely unprepared to enter the school on her own.

"Yeah, thanks. Or else I don't think I'll ever go in" she said with as much of a laugh as she could muster from her raw throat. She at least hoped that her throat would feel a bit better by Friday so she could at least attempt to do some performance. Her voice also would need to be a lot stronger to make up for the lack of a duet partner.

Kurt linked arms with her and guided her towards the gates of hell already seeing a few rogue demons wearing varsity jackets laughing at her from the steps. "Just ignore them, they wouldn't know human decency if it hit them in the face. Although I would like to see that" She was grateful for Kurt trying to cheer her up so she chuckled halfheartedly.

"Thankyou" she said genuinely, before walking into the hallway. Everyone stopped and stared at her. A couple of people had amused smirks on their faces, some looked mortified. "Hey Rachel, say hi to Finn from me too!" she heard from yet another jerk in a varsity jacket. She felt tears sting her eyes and Kurt squeeze her arm a bit. She felt he was trying to send her some sort of telepathic message of support but her head felt too clouded to get it. She looked down as she was walking squeezing her eyes shut to try not to let out any tears. She missed a mortified stare from a certain blonde girl standing at her locker as she was led down the hallway. There was nothing that could make this worse Rachel thought while being proven wrong from the blue liquid hitting her in the face yet again giving her flashbacks to the night before. Kurt looked at her worried as he rushed her into the nearest girls bathroom which was luckily close enough for the door to close before the hallway erupted into laughter and loud whoops, drowning out the noise a bit.

Kurt was legitimately worried about Rachel. Even he hadn't had such a bombardment of hate in such a short period of time. Yet. It seems the bullies are suddenly stepping up their game, just to add another thing to his list of worries. There was noone in there, they were all probably too busy waiting for the public humiliation ceremony that had just taken place. The shivering girl in front of him was quietly sobbing. All he heard were occasional soft croaks, which just proved to him how shed clearly been crying before this. He was so tired of this screwed up school. Even Rachel didn't deserve this. He got out his slushy kit and started wiping the trembling brunettes face. Suddenly she looked at him in the eyes and asked "Is this really what I deserve?" Oh god, she was actually starting to believe them.
