Day 5

Quinn knew exactly what she was going to say as she headed towards the choir room. She would say sorry again, talk about the pressure to maintain her image, how she felt after the slushy thing. She had got this. Nothing to worry about. Rachel might even be able to bring herself to forgive her. That would be amazing. Optimism was all Quinn had right now. She didn't put her heart on her sleeve very often and after yesterday it felt like her heart was drying out from over exposure but she just had to press through her old instincts and build new ones. However, the objective wasn't to get Rachel to forgive her (although that would be an added bonus), it was to show her that she was trying her best to change. Okay, deep breath Fabray.

She stepped in to the choir room, ready to greet Rachel, but no-one was in there. She furrowed her brow, the brunette was usually early for everything. There was no surprise when the first time they met up a couple of days ago that Rachel had already set everything up in the auditorium and had vocally warmed up before she had got there. Maybe, she had been too pushy when asking her to meet up today. Quinn had been able to tell she was lying when she said she was busy. Quinn slumped down in her chair. Rachel wasn't coming. No, stay optimistic Fabray! Okay, she's probably just held up or something. Rachel would never miss an appointment. Right, just be ready with what you're going to sa- just at that moment the small brunette who occupied her thoughts burst through the choir room door. And within the very same moment Quinn completely forgot what she was going to say. She knew it was a cliche, the pretty girl walks in and your mind goes blank. Obviously pretty in a platonic way. And well, she did look particularly good today. Objectively. Her hair was a bit wavy and she was wearing a dress, which Quinn definitely preferred over her hideous argyle sweaters. And even the glisten of sweat on her forehead made her look good.

"Oh my god im so sorry" The other girl bumbled "I didn't wake up to my first, or my second alarm. I was just so tired after yesterday -as you know it was kind of a stressful day for me- anyway im so so sorry im late it will never happen again I swear" Quinn just sat and watched the small diva as she rambled. She was actually quite cute when she rambled, Quinn thought. She usually only did it when she was nervous -or excited- and right at that moment Quinn couldn't think of much that was cuter than Rachel Berry nervous. What was she thinking? Rachel Berry. Cute. Nononononononnononono. She had not seen this coming. Honestly she did commend her heart for performing a complete plot twist on her own brain. Crushing on Rachel Berry was the absolute last thing shed thought shed ever be doing. Clearly it didn't make any sense. Like its not like she had ever thought that Rachel Berry was cute before. Not when she was rambling, or scrunching up her face when trying to figure out a problem in maths. Or when she finally figured out the problem and her face lit up like someone had just turned on a lightbulb. Or at least turned o- For fucks sake. She had a crush on Rachel Berry. Just when shed thought shed figured out how she felt about everything. Oh god, now the cute brunette was looking at her weird. She should probably get out of her internal monologue and actually talk to the girl in front of her. Here goes.

"Quinn?" Rachel said looking confused with her cheeks reddening a bit "are you ok?".

Quinn snapped back into reality, realising she had been staring at Rachel for a bit too long. "Yeah... uh... just a late night I think" She said giving the brunette a reassuring smile.

"Oh ok", Rachel sprung into motion, getting her sheet music out of her bag and plopping it down onto the the piano. "So do you want to pick from the pile, or should I have a look at your iPod like last time, your choice" She gave Quinn a smile which made the butterflies in her belly do a little jig. This was going to be a long morning.

"No, I thought maybe we could talk first?" She asked while patting the chair next to her. Rachel didn't say anything only sat next to Quinn, looking at her expectantly. Unfortunately, Quinn had forgotten about her forgetting what she was going to say. Stupid forgetception. Ok just start with sorry, you can't say sorry enough right?
