Chapter 22 - Prom Part 1

Bridgette's pov

        Well tonight was the night..prom night. Everyone has literally been waiting for this day since the school year started, including me.

I already had my dress picked out weeks ago. It was a long dark blue gown that had a short train only going a few inches away from my feet and was completely backless as well,

It was really expensive, but my mom was fine with me spending the amount that I did on it.

I had already put the dress on and was working on my make-up. I applied some black eye shadow on my eyes, thick black eyeliner, and some subtle nude lipstick to finish off the look,

'Damn I looked good' it was a shame that I couldn't go with Kendall, but it was definitely going to be worthwhile seeing the look on her face when she sees me walk into that gym. Especially with a new piece of man candy on my arm,

Speaking of Zachery, he called me yesterday and told me that he would love to take me to the dance. Thank god because I didn't have a plan C for if he said no, I told him to wear blue and he agreed to pick me up at 8:00.

*Ding Dong*

I fixed the curls in my hair and added the finishing touches before I walked down the stairs and saw my mom talking to Zachery in the front of the house,

He looked fine....

''Zachery, hey''

He turned around and smiled at me widely, he was wearing a dark blue suit with black slacks and had his hair all in curls like he usually does. He wasn't Kendall, but it was nice to be going to prom with someone good looking

''Hey Bridgette, you look beautiful''

''Thank you, you look really handsome''

''I try''

He walked towards me and grabbed my wrist, I saw him pull out a corsage, it had a light blue orchid attached to it. I smiled and let him place it on me,

''Aww Zachery, this is so pretty''

''Only the best for my prom date''

I smiled at him and he grinned at me, we heard a cough and we turned to see my mom with a camera in her hand and a wide smile on her face,

''Picture time!!''

I rolled my eyes and Zachery pulled me into his side. I wrapped my arm around his neck and placed my hand on his chest. He put an arm around my waist and placed his hand on top of mine on his chest.

''Say cheese!''

''Cheese!'' Me and Zachery both said, smiling and laughing at the camera

Mom took about 4-5 pictures before I let go of Zachery and looked at her,

''Okay, we should get going, we don't want to be late''

''Oh of course, have fun and be home by midnight''

''Mom! There's a party tonight, can I please go''

She had a thin line on her lips and I gave her my puppy dog eyes. Her face broke down slowly and she smiled slowly,

''Okay, have fun, be safe, call me when you're coming home, and try not to be out too late''

''Deal''

She hugged me quickly and gave Zachery a quick hug as well. Zachery opened the door for me and I walked out slowly, holding onto the sides of my dress.
