The Mystery Caller

Chapter 3

Clara woke to her phone blasting best song ever like it did every morning. Only this time she looked at her phone to find she had a new message on Kik. It was from someone called 'Niall Horan fans'. It read:

"Hi heard you were a fan of Niall and was wondering if you wanted to talk for a bit? P.s sorry if I sound creepy and my name is Kayla x"

Clara liked the sound of Kayla. so she wrote back:

"Hi, course I'd love to chat. I'm glad I've found someone who also loves my Nialler. My names Clara x"

Clara and Kayla chatted for about an hour. Then Kayla wrote

"My number is 07798214567 if you want to text x"

That's when Clara made the biggest mistake of her life. She gave her number to Kayla.

Suddenly, Clara's phone rang, it was the number Kayla had sent her. Clara answered the phone. The phone was silent, until she heard a voice, but it wasn't a female voice, it was a males voice.

"Hello?" Clara said quietly

"Hello there Clara" said the voice. The voice was a thick Irish accent. But Clara thought it had a bit of a British hint to it.

"How do you know my name?" Clara replied. She was getting quite scared now, her parents had always told her not to speak to people who she didn't know.

"Oh Clara, don't you remember me? We just talked about an hour ago on Kik" The voice replied.

"Wait, is this Kayla?" Clara replied, but the phone went silent. They had hung up.

Over the next few days, she kept getting calls from the same number. Clara never answered, instead, she listened to the voice mails that were left. One of them read:

"Hello Clara its me. I just want to talk to you. Please don't think I'm scary, I just want to speak to you because your a fan of One Direction and Niall. Please call me or Kik me so I can explain myself."

Clara didn't know what to do. She wanted to call back but at the same time didn't want to. She had no idea why all the voicemails from 'Kayla' were all in a males voice.
