Y/n put his hand out and the Griffin disappeared.
Y/n: I'll try again when I'm level 26.
Y/n summoned Kuro and went back to Axel. He went back home and went to his room. He picked up the prototype flashlight he's been working on. He turned it on and hummed to himself.
Y/n: Drains too much mana. How should I fix that?
Y/n turned it off and put it on his cabinet. Rory barged into his room with some crackers.
Rory: Sup, my dude.
She then jumped onto his bed and started eating the crackers.
Rory: What's that?
Y/n was about to tell her not to eat crackers on the bed, but he decided not to say anything about that.
Y/n: I'll just tell the ants to clean up the crumbs and leave. This is a flashlight.
Y/n picked it up and turned it on.
Rory: Woah!
Y/n: I don't have batteries, so I have to use mana to make it work. Lamps are nice and all, but they don't illuminate the area in front of you that much.
Rory: What are batteries? Eh, I don't care. Cracker?
Y/n: Sure. Say, you wanna go on a quest?
Rory: Sure. I'm bored.
Y/n: Cool. I'll give Dust's his money and then I'll go find Yunyun.
Rory: Do you owe Dust?
Y/n: Nah. I take away 20% of the money he makes. I then give him some of the money I've taken.
Rory: Why though?
Y/n: ... You really start to feel bad for a man who is so hungry that he'll eat a piece of fish out of a garbage can.
Rory: ...
Y/n grabbed a small pouch filled with coins. He also put a small note inside of it. He opened up a window and whistled. A bird perched on the windowsill.
Y/n: Here are your treats. Now please take this to Dust.
The bird ate the treat in Y/n's hand. The bird then grabbed the pouch and flew off.
Rory: That's seriously handy.
Y/n: Yup. Now let's go get Yunyun.
Rory: I don't feel like adventuring anymore. I'm gonna take a nap.
Y/n: That's my bed... Hey! Don't fall asleep!
Y/n grabbed Rory and put her under his arm. He continued to carry Rory like this until he got to the guild.
Y/n: Now, where is that loner?
Yunyun: I'm not a loner...
