CHAPTER ONE

27th Birthday

Merri awoke to a huge crashing noise and sprinted to where she thought she heard it coming from.
"What in heathens sake-" said Merri as she saw that her kitchen roof had been broken into.
"Hiya, Merri.."said a deep voice sharply
"Who are yo- how in the- wh-" Merri could not even finish a sentence.
The man walked up to her and put a towel of Chloroform on her nose.
Merri dozed off not knowing what was happening.

A few hours later..

Merri awoke in a huge void like room.
A man walked in clapping slowly and said "Congratulations..."
"Im sorry but for what cause all i remember is waking up and about to have a morning tea."
"Oh I forgot to tell you.." Said the man
"You're dead.." He added
"Oh for heathens sake is this some kind of prank? You think this is funny having a old lady like me think im dead?" Said Merri sharply
"Oh this is no prank" said the man laughing
"And you aren't 'old', your just 27" he added.
"How do you- oh call me what you want but how do you recon i get out of here since im 'dead" said Merri as she began to get fed up.
"Well about that.." Said the man as he smiled.
"Happy birthday Merri.." He said laughing as a bunch of her family came out and started singing her happy birthday.
"So this was all a surprise birthday?" Said Merri demandingly
"Yes Merri how do you like it?" Asked her grandma luanne
"Well granny first off you scared me half to death" said Merri angrily
Everyone went quiet.
"Oh im just kidding I love it!" Said Merri giggling and joining the party.

Later In The Night..

Merri got home really late and very intoxicated.
She fell on her couch and didn't get back up untill she heard a thud coming from the outside of her apartment.
She got up and checked only to see a child fighting trying to get away from a man the man grabbed the child and started to run.
Merri sprinted into action and stook her hand out a blue light shot from it and the man collapsed.
