Chapter one-New Start

I walk down the concert path toward my new school. It's going to feel weird going to school. Well I have been home school for most of my life. Wow only 2 more years of school, year 12 already. I was home school because of my medical issues. I was born without a right leg, so I have a fake leg. When I was 5 ½ I lost my left eye in a car accident. My Parent was worried about me being bullied and picked on, so they kept me at home. But the doctor strong suggested that I go to school to socialise with other children my age. My parent had a long long talk with each other and both of them agreed I should go to school. I pull up my black jean that has little tears on the knee caps. I hope my clothes are appropriate. I look down at my singlet under my black and white checked jumper with grey hoodie. One ring on my middle finger on the left hand and one on my index finger on the right. I look down at my new black covers shoes. I walk in the school door. I walk to the front desk. "Excuse me but I am the new student. Monna Evergreen." I tell the 25 year old lady with orange hair. She nods her head as she passes me a piece of paper. "Your first class is down the hallway to the left." The office lady tells me. I nod my head as I grab the paper off her. "Thank you." I says as I walk out. I walk down the hallway to the classroom. I knock on the door. The door ups up to a tall blonde lady with green eyes. She steps outside the room and close the door behind her. "Good morning. You must be the new kid. Monna Evergreen?" She asks me. I nod my head to the teacher. "I am Miss Smith, your homeroom teacher. I will go in and I will call you in, ok." She tells me and I nod my head. She softly smiles at me before walking back into the classroom. I hear mumble through the door. "You can come in Miss Evergreen." Miss Smith say through the door. I open the door and stand in front of a full classroom. I look around as I see people whisper to each other. "Miss Evergreen would you like to induce yourself." Miss Smith ask me. I give her a simple nod. "Good morning, I am Monna Evergreen. It's a pleasure to meet you." I say as I continue looking around the classroom. "Monna you will be sitting next to Daniel. Daniel raise your hand." Miss Smith says to me. I look up and I see a dirk blond guy rise his hand. He has a plain white shirt with a black jumper. I walk over to him and sit on the left hand side of him. "I am Daniel Brown, Nice to meet you." He says as he extends out his right hand, I gently grab his hand as we shake hand. I can feel the wetness from his hand on mine, He must have sweaty hands. I remove his hand from mine. "I am Monna Evergreen, nice to meet you too." I say as I take out my books. "That my friend Nicholas. But everyone calls him Nick." Daniel say as he leans and taps the guys in front of me shoulder. That must be Nicholas. Nicholas turns and glances at me. "Sup." He softly mumbles under his breath. Then he turns back around towards to board. "He is shy." Daniel whisper softly next to me. I nod my head then I turn back to the board. I start to write down the note. I hear a tap on my table. I look up and I see Nicholas looking to me. I look at his pink shirt with white stars on it. He leans in abit. "Can I borrow a pen?" He asks me softly as he look at my face with his fluffy brown hair covering his eyes. I quietly look away before he notices. I get out my blue pen with red pock dot and I place it in his hand. "Thanks." He says and he turns around back at the board.

#Skip to the end of the class#

The bell ring. I look at my time table and I see I have P.E.I have to go and get dresses. Well I guess I will just wear these clothes. I walk down the hallway. I feel my legs get wet, I look and see a water stain is on my leg. "Oh no I am so sorry. I tripped and my water fell on you sorry." A girl with light brown hair apologise to me. "It's ok. Don't worry about it." I tell her then I walk to the change rooms. I sit on the bench as I had taken off my fake leg because it got abit wet, I place it on the side as I put on my jeans back on. "OMG!!!That is disgusting!" I hear a girl scream as she points to my fake leg and has her hand over her mouth. I hear grasp and laughter around me. "I will take this!" A girl yells as she quickly grabs my fake leg before I can grab it. "Give it back!" I yell as I turn my body around to face her. I look at her dark blue eyes and long black hair. "Nah. Come and catch me if you want it back!" She yells back as she run off with the leg in her arm. I push my myself up with arms and I balance on the one legs. I hop as I lean on the wall. I feel my body collide with another body. I look up and I see it Nicholas. I watch as I see his head moves up and down as he scan my body. He stops scanning and he looks at my leg. He nods his head and walk next to me. He places my right arm around his shoulder and he places his left arm just above my waist, I can feel my face heat up as I look down. Why is he doing this? Does he feel sorry for me? But this is helping me balance. I look up at him as he slowly starts to walk forward. I hop as I follow him. After a few minutes we arrive at a door. He opens the door with his right hand. He leads me to a comfy seat. He gently helps me down. "Stay here." He tells me as he walks out of the room without another word.

#10 minutes later#

The door opens up again. I look up and see Nicholas with my fake leg in his right hand. He walks toward me and place the fake leg gently on my leg. "Thank you." I say with a soft smile. He turns away from me and looks away. "Your welcome." He softly replies as he walks toward the door. "I will make sure nobody comes in, ok." I barely hear him softly mumble. "Ok" I replied to him. I watch as he closes the door behind himself. I take off my jeans and put on my fake leg. I walk toward the door and open it. I look outside and see Nicholas leaning against the wall. His right hand in his right pocket of his dark blue jeans. He turns his head toward me then walks passed me. "Thank you." I yell out as I turn around to face his back. I see him nod his head and continue walking.

#Skip to the end of the day#

"Hey Monna! Want to walk home together?" I hear Daniels voice ask me. I turn around to see Daniel standing there with a big smile on his face and nick with his hand in his pockets looking down at the floor. "Sure. But where do you live?" I ask him. "I live in Orange grove and Nick lives on Fairview road. They are near each other so we walk home together. What about you Monna?" Daniel tells me. "I live on Fairview road too." I tell him. "Great. Let's go." Daniel says as we start to walk. As we walk Daniel and I talk about our hobby, likes and etc. While Nicholas has his earphone in. We reach Orange grove. "Well this is my stop. See you guys later. Nicholas make sure she gets home safety." Daniel tells Nicholas as he nods his head. I wave goodbye to Daniel and we start to walk off with Nicholas. We walk in dead silence. I feel the sun hit my face as the sunsets. I look at Nicholas and see him nodding his head to the beat of the music. I tap his left shoulder. He turns and faces me. He takes out one ear phone and stops walking. "What are you listening to?" I ask him. He takes out the other earphone and gently places them in my ears. The song 'Emperor's new cloth by Panic! At the Disco'. I look up and see bit of his eyes. His eyes are so beautiful colour. He takes out the left earphone and places it back in his own ear. "Let go." He softly mumbles as he starts to walk. We reach my place. "Um...This is my stop." I tell him as I take out the earphone. He nods his head as we walk to the front door and up the stairs. "Thank you." I say with a soft smile. He nods his head. "Bye." He says as he walks down the stairs. "Bye!" I softly yell as he walks away. What a day!
