A few hours later, Jazz plops down on her bed. What am I going to wear? A sultry dress? A formal gown? Nothing at all? While laughing at that last thought, she heard her mother knocking on the door and letting herself in.
"Are you enjoying yourself Jasmine?" Cynthia asked.
Jazz turned her head towards her mother. "I just needed a moment to rest my head."
Cynthia turns to the closet. "Then I'll find something for you. Should you wear something to complement Gerard's eyes?"
Jazz looks towards the evening gown. Then she looks at the striking black one. "What about that one?"
"Don't tell me it is to complement Ryan's eyes." Her mother says with one eyebrow rising up.
"What!? How could you accuse me of such a thing?"
"I saw how you were looking at him earlier, even though you were holding onto your boyfriend's arms."
" Mother!?"
"Just be careful with your heart and theirs."
