Chapter 4: School

I jointed up from my sleep. I looked around the room and everything was the same. I looked at the clock. 10:30 p.m. 'Whoa I went to sleep for that long'. I thought to myself as I hopped out of the bed. I went to the balcony and opened the door. I looked at the sky and watch as the stars twinkled. Then I heard footsteps, I looked to see Devon the looking at the sky as well. He looked at me.

"Oh hi, didn't see you there". For some odd reason the balcony was connected to my door to his. I blushed a bit. "Umm hi, so what are you doing out". He chuckled "funny, I should be asking you that but I came out to get some fresh air, you know". He said. "I usually come out here to think mostly about the future and sometimes past I'm thinking about my dad he died when I was 13, Meghan was 3, I was so devastated, and I didn't talk to anyone like all I have is my mother and Meghan". I got silent; I did not know what to say.

He then looked at me and looked into my eyes and said, "You should go to bed, I'm going to get some sleep too." he open the door to his room and closed it I walk to my room and close the door I laid in my warm bed and drifted to sleep.

The smell of bacon and eggs woke me up. I decide to go downstairs. I saw Devon eating cereal and Megan eat bacon. Mrs. Reynold smiled, "Good morning Kaitlyn, I hope you're ready". I looked at her confuse. "Ready for what" .She laughed, "For high school of course! You're 16 and plus don't worry it will be a blast". I shrugged and began to eight eat.

After that, I took a shower, I went upstairs and found something to wear. I put on a red shirt with a black heart on it and black ripped skinny jeans and a black converse shoes.

I straighten my hairbrush my teeth and went downstairs. Megan and Devon were already there. Mrs. Reynolds clapped her hands. "Okay let's get going". We walk outside; Meghan held my hand and started talking about school. It was not a long walk, so we got there in 20 minutes. We dropped Meghan off and walked to the high school. Devon sighed, "Time to smell the zit cream and lunch meat".

I giggled a little bit.

We walked in to see many people, there was a bunch of them talking and laughing.

I could hear some people whispering.

"Who is she?"

"Why is she with Devon?"

"That's my man!"

I ignored it and walked to the office there was an old lady, she smiled at me. "Hello, you must be Kaitlyn; here is your schedule and pass, welcome to Daring high." I nodded and walked to my first class. 'Spanish class with Miss. Rhea in room 154.' I went there and opened the door. It was filled of people. They all stopped what they were doing and looked at me.

I stood still then Miss. Rhea said, "Why hello you must be Kaitlyn, I'm Miss. Rhea, ummm you can sit next to Aiden, Aiden please raise your hand". A guy with blonde hair and blue eyes, raise his hand. I sat next to him. He smiled at me and said, "Hey I'm Adien." I smiled a bit and said back, "Kaitlyn". He nodded and began to listens teacher.
