Home is the End Part 10

Bakugo Pov

I watched as we drove through my city in rubble and covered in the undead of people I once knew. I watched as the buildings slowly crumbled without anyone to care for them. I watched as the undead fed on those who ended their lives instead of becoming a monster. I watched as my family saw the world outside our small corner in Tokyo. I watched as Atlas let tears fall down his face and then he asked 'When was the last time you spoke to Kirishima?' I then choked on my own startled breath and realised we hadn't talked in a year. Was he still alive? Is he the same? Does he have a girlfriend or boyfriend ? I had already succumbed to the fact that I may have feelings for him. So I was disappointed by that thought quite a bit. I answered my son At while too long' he just mouthed an 'oh' and we sat in silence only hearing the moans from outside. Other than that it was kinda peaceful in an apocalyptic type of way. Haha who am I kidding this is ridiculous. I don't even know if anyone is alive and yet I have made a family of my own and learnt the death of my friends over the phone.  

I look out the window and see UA in front of me and almost breakdown. It's been so long, when everything was normal. But UA was covered in vines and everyone was pretty much dead. Yeah i get it I'm a kill joy people always tell me that. But it's funny. We parked at the front of the school, grabbed our weapons and left the truck. I walked over and pushed open the doors. All looked empty and quiet. We searched the bottom floor and no one was  in sight. 'Okay split up and report if you find anything, Hunter you go with Atlas, if you find anyone contact us with whistle ok?' Hunter and Atlas nodded as they ran away to search for anyone else. 'Ok Dabi I'll see you later' he chuckled 'you bet Sparky' and he walked away. I walked the halls silently and listened to see if I could hear anything that sounded remotely human. But nothing.

Atlas POV

I looked at my surroundings and everything was almost clean, people had been here recently. We kept walking for a while and heard what sounded like voices or moans behind a door to what the sign said 'Cafteria'. I didn't know what to do so if it was zombies I grabbed my gun and pointed it ready to shoot whatever was on the other side. I breathed out and then I was ready to kick open the door . I'm gonna do it like Pap, in style~. And so I kick it open and point my gun waiting for the dust to clear. And when it does I see about 100 people of all ages staring at me wide eyed, then I noticed some of them pointing guns.  'AYE WOAH WOAH WOAH NO NEED FOR GUNS IM PERFECTLY ALIVE' then most of them put their guns down and just stared before one walked forward. 'Hey kid, are you alone?' I looked at him closely he had red spiky hair and sharp teeth but he looked like he had a gentle and friendly face... KIRISHIMA!! Instantly went for my whistle which we had made codes for to communicate with each other. I then blew it and signed 'Cafe' and hoped Papa knew what I meant. 'Hey kid what was that for?' I looked at a yellow haired kites blocking his ears I answered 'backup' the red head looked at me 'there are more of you?' And at that moment Hunter came into view. Some screamed, yelled or grabbed guns and were about to shoot. 'LOWER YOUR WEAPONS HE IS DOCILE!!' Not many did this time until Hunter day and his tail was wagging like the mad puppy he actually is. 'See he got mutated from when he died but remained with the same personality but a lot smarter, he can understand our language too.' I watched as some people woahed at this then a pink haired girl asked Hunter 'Wait you can understand all of us right now?' At her question Hunter nodded and smiled of some sort. 'Woah, well hi my name is Mina!!' Hunter wagged his tail and tapped Her said My names Hunter' Everyone had put down their weapons and were staring in amazement until they heard a yell 'ALRIGHT YA PIECE A SHIT WHERE ARE YOU!! YOU CANT JUST WHISTLE THAT AND NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE!!' Everyone looked confused. Until there were a few gasps when my Papa ran into view towards me. 'Dad! You finally came!'he knelt down and hugged me. 'What do you mean I finally came Atlas! you whistled DEATH!!' Oh so that was why he was screaming at me... 'Wait dad look!' I yell as I point to Kirishima who he hadn't seemed to notice standing in-front of him because he was so worried for me. 

Bakugo POV 

'Wait dad look!'  I look at what Atlas was pointing at. I stand up and almost fall over again. 'K-kastuki?' It was Kirishima standing in front of me. I  touch his cheek and he leans into my hand as if he still doesn't believe I'm real. He starts crying softly and choking his tears. I then lean my head into his and speak 'Hello Ejirou' and th  I start crying happy as ever. At that moment I look up and around to see many of my classmates there also crying and balling there eyes out. ' hey everyone' and at that moment everyone swarmed me into a hug and for a second I hugged back for a second. Just a second. "Okay get off me extras!" Most laughed and got off at the statement. Then I looked back to Kirishima. 'U-I'm so? You're a Dad?' I watched as he looked a bit sad. Ha he's so obvious sometimes. 'Number one he's about 9 years old and I met him about a year ago. He just became like a son to me so I kind of adopted without the papers and formalities.' He just made on 'oh' with his mouth. I laughed a bit and smiled. Then all of a sudden Dabi came in. 'So can someone tell me why Atlas signalled 'death' and here I am watching some sort of heart warming and mushy shit?' A lot of people laughed finally understanding the whistle situation. I looked at Kiri and he looked nervous.

Kiri POV

I can't believe I'm doing this 'I'm doing this!' I pulled Bakugo into me a kissed him. I almost lost it when he kissed back. After a few seconds we pulled away and suprisingly Baku was blushing like crazy. Then we heard cheering and whistles from around the eating hall. I laughed and so did Bakugo. Then Atlas came up to me looked me up and down and said 'Can you be my dad too??' I blushed thinking about me and Baku being dads then replied 'I'd love too' 

Baku and Kiri POV 

We were on top of the roof. On the edge of it just looking at the stars for once peacefully and we both looked at each other in bliss and happiness. Then Kirishima lifted up my chin and we kissed in the night as if everything else was irrelevant. I knew from here on everything would be okay. We would have our wins and losses but with each other we could smile. With each other we could do so much more than ever. We would love and lose and then lea&rn to love again. It's just how things go I guess. But as long as you're happy that is all that matters. So I welcome this change so it would know that I'm ready to smile for once through this. Love each other and they will learn to love you back the same.
