STEPS

Deepakshi POV-

My college SRCC. It looked quite decent and pretty old to be the building of today's top college. I assumed it to be very sassy and having a great stylish infrastructure but it's............... very different from my high school that I attended in Sydney. No worries, I will adjust here to my fullest , try to make new friends and most importantly, I am here to achieve my goals. I am sure that someday dad will appreciate me and would say "I am proud of you my girl."
I moved towards my class and I am noticing that every single guy was awestruck while seeing me and were checking me out. There were some guys who even followed me to see my class I think. I even heard some guys calling me 'fire' and some were saying me 'super model'.Various girls were giving me death stares and were throwing glares full of hate.

I was busy in finding my class. Suddenly I saw a guy who was keenly checking me out shamelessly from too to bottom.

He came towards me. I asked him about my class as he was a regular student here, he must be knowing everything about this college. I don't know but I didn't liked him much. I didn't wanted to ask him about my class but I don't want to be late also on first day. This was my last option. He came and ordered me to give my intro to him. I told him every thing. It wasn't any problem for me. He backed off li'l bit may be after knowing that I was daughter of Daksh Khanna.
Then he showed me the way towards my class. I thanked him and walked away but later on I see  that everyone was laughing at me. I didn't know why? But every one was giving me a look if I was a kind of joker.  Then I realized why....
Because I was walking towards boy's washroom and I was just standing in front of it's door. That guy just made me fool and wasted my time. What was his problem when I even told him that I don't want to be late and moreover I was the student of second year because I am well aware of ragging in Indian colleges. How dare he...... I was so frustrated at that time.
Suddenly  a sweet chirpy voice came to me saying "Are you lost? I can help you because I think we two are in same section." I turned around to see a girl with a simple Indian kurti pajama. Her hairs were tightly bound in two pony tails. She was giving the  sweetest smile and I don't know why but I felt so relieved like if I just have saw my sister in her".

She was looking really innocent and was bit confused about my behavior I think.
She adds " I know I am not that beautiful to keep you as a company but I can help you to reach your place. If you don't wanna sit with me it's definitely fine. I understand that." She lowered her head while saying this. My heart just melt at her words. I blindly said " ofcourse, I will come with you and thanks for guiding me and I don't know what would have happened if you didn't came to rescue me. You are my savior and you are saying that I won't sit with you. Hello girl!!! I will definitely sit with you only from now onwards everytime and I am not going to leave you at all. You are now chained with my friendship." We both laughed at each other and went to our class. Her name was Shreya. We talked about various things ; our daily life and routines and our subjects while walking to our class. After attending the two lectures we went outside the class. She was so talkitive that I didn't even realized with her that how two lectures finished so early. While sitting in class, I noticed that she was finding someone as she wasn't paying attention to what our professor was saying and when I asked her about that she told me that a friend of her named Abhir didn't attended those lectures that's why she was searching for him in whole class as she wasn't able to find him in the first half. She told me so much about her college and people in it while walking towards the ground area. She said" You know the guy who pranked you was Danish Sehgal. He is also  one among the son's of Dhanraj Sehgal. You must be knowing him. He is the competitor of your father in business industry. Abhir told me this and you should stay away from Danish. He is very proud on his status and misbehaves with everyone. His big brother Dhairya and Yuvraaj are going to hold the Sehgal empire in their hands now. I don't belong to any high status family but I know each and everything about them. Abhir tells me everything about their family. You can ask me anything about Abhir's family."
I asked happily to her " who is this Abhir btw and I think he tells you everything."
Her eyes were shining while hearing that name and she answered merrily  "You don't have seen him? He is one of the finest guy in our college. He is  our topper and I think you were 2nd rank holder right? because I have read name of the rank holders and your name was written just with Abhir always. He was also very curious to know about you as you were the only one who scored approximately same as him in our last sem's project. You two would be so good together if you both become partner in this semester's project. I would like to see you both together and pls pls pls promise me that you will ask him to be your partner and you both will involve me too. I too want to become part of some worthy group. I know I am not that intelligent but I will try my best and learn everything from both of you. We three will become best team and finally I would get good grades in project atleast in this year. Promise me!!!!"
I was laughing at her spontaneous act and I said "ok ok, I will definitely but why are you so excited about that Abhir. I mean...  is he something so extremely intelligent and good that you desperately wanna work with him only ?"
She said blushing softly " He is extraordinary and you know, there is no one as good looking as him in our college. Every girl drools over him and is behind him. Not only this, he is best in sports too. He made our college team in the winning list twice in state level basketball match. He is best player in basketball team and moreover captin of his team. Most special about him is that he is really charming and helps everyone. He is so respectful towards girls. No one is like him. He always helps me and encourages me. Every girl in our college wants to be her gf but he has never accepted any proposal till now but he always stand by my side and always tell everything to me only. I will introduce both of you to each other. Come!!"
She holded my hands and took me with her towards college library.
