A few months in the League of Villains had taken its toll on Hawks and his body was killing him. Osprey was killing him. Not that he actually knew what Osprey really was, or how he had become a part of him, he just heard from Dabi in their otherwise normal conversations. The two were really close now, inseparable almost. Hawks could even say they were close enough...to possibly be lovers. Not like that could ever happen, Hawks told himself sternly as he stood on the balcony of his internship building. I cannot let love distract me from my true mission. It broke his heart to think like that, but the more he told himself these things the better they'll stick, right? Hawks let out a sigh and ruffled his wings.

"Secrets, secrets, secrets." He said to himself as he gritted his teeth and pinched the bridge of his nose. "That's all my life really is, huh? A bunch of lies and secrets, all packed in the same unfortunate soul." He suddenly spun around with his FierceWing raised to the newcomer's throat. "Woah, woah! Easy! I'm a friend." All Might?! He quickly put away the sword feather and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "S-sorry about that, All Might." He sighed tiredly. A bandage covered up a long scratch on Hawks' cheek and he put a hand on it to make it look like he was leaning into his palm, turned away from All Might and instead staring off the balcony again.

"Hawks." The bird hero turned again and shriveled up internally. "Hey, Endeavor-san..." he couldn't even keep his voice from sounding as exhausted as he felt. "How did you guys get in here?" He forced on a fake smile, but could feel it twitching and trembling. "The door was wide open and-" Endeavor broke in with a hot-tempered grumble. "Why haven't you been calling us to give information, Hawks?" Goddamnit...he had been too focused on getting cozy with the villains...that he forgot to call the heroes he was working undercover for.

"Hawks, are you feeling all right?" All Might asked him."I'm perfect! Couldn't be better!" He lied, a large painful smile across his face. Suddenly his phone began to ring and he pulled it from his pocket. "Excuse me, I gotta take this." He took to the air and soared away, flying through the clouds at breakneck speed. He landed at the top of a random building and dialed in the number that had called him. "Hey, Dabi...yeah yeah, I'm fine! Couldn't...couldn't be in better shape..." Hawks ran a hand through his hair and squatted on the roof's edge.

"N-no Dabi, you know I can't. Shigaraki wouldn't- wait, what? Oh my god-hah hah, you idiot! Tell me you didn't really do that!" Hawks smiled for real, the first actual smile in a really long time. Dabi knew just what to do when the exhausted hero was down on his luck. Villain or not, he was a good friend to have. I can't keep lying to him..."Hey uh, Dabi? Could you drop by my house for a while? I uh...need to tell you something that I should have said months ago." Hopefully, All Might and Endeavor would have left his place by now. Then Dabi would be safe, and Hawks could tell him everything.
