So this book is going to have a lot of music in it. I will give credit to all of the songs weather it be in the story as a cover or at the end or chapters if they call it their own.
Skyler to the side>>>>>>>>>
So yeah enjoy!

Beep, beep!
I woke up with that annoying alarm sound.
I don't have one of those fancy ones that play your favorite song or something.
I roll out of bed, or should I say fall out of bed. The clock ready 6:30. I have about an hour still before school starts. I ran a quick shower and got dressed.
I usually wouldn't dress up that much but today is special. It's my best friends 18th birthday and we're going to a concert. I've been saving for weeks for these tickets.
Now this isn't some small local band. No, it's Empire. They are all so hot and I love their music. It's a new found love. I used to think they are just a bunch of privileged jerks. But Riley made me listen to them and I guess they just kind of grew on me.
If you couldn't already tell Riley is my best friend. It's hard to find true friends in this town so when we met in freshman year we kinda stuck.
I don't really live in the best place. I'm one of the more lucky people actually. My parents are still together which amazes me everyday.
My dad had a little bit of a drinking problem and my mom works way too hard to try and pay the bills. I have a little brother who is 6. He's the cutest thing you'll ever see.
No one who lives here is expected to do anything great with your life. I'm convinced half the girls in my grade will become prostitutes of they aren't already.
It's sad when you think about it.
On a monthly basis there's someone from our school who dies. Whether it be an overdose or a murder it happens. I always keep a knife on me incase something goes wrong. And I doesn't help that I don't look like your average intercity "got a hard life girl" with my red hair and pale skin.
Me and Riley go to the gym and work on self defense stuff almost every day. We made friends with the big scary guys who hang out there as well. I can kick their asses but if I need help they'll be there for me.
Make friends with the big guys, it works every time.
I blow dry my hair to it natural waves. I put on a skirt with fishnet tights and my signature tall boots, putting my knife by my right calf. I wear a simple white tank top and my locket to finish my outfit off.
Riley had blonde hair so I guess we're kind of like those Instagram and Tumbler friends. You know the pics with the blonde and red haired friends. Or maybe it's brown hair that's in the pictures.
She's my crazy opposite and I keep her in line. Although I can get worse than her sometimes.
We usually like to keep to ourselves and stay away from the backstabbing queen bitches of the school. I swear we're the only normal girls there.
I run downstairs to see my brother already eating breakfast at the table and my mother getting her bag ready.
"Hey sweaty, I have to go can you get Joe to school?"
"Yeah sure no problem mom." She gives me a kiss on the cheek on her way out the door.
I grab the box of cereal, milk, and a bowl and sit down next to Joe. He's too busy looking through his comic books to notice me. Sometimes I just want to be young and innocent again and not know what the real world is like. Everything just seems so easy for him.
