With her hair bouncing with every step she took, her gaze glued to the ground beneath her feet, her steps accelerated as the rain gets heavier. She takes her bag off of her shoulder and places it above her head as more raindrops hit the road.

She reaches her front door with her soaked wet clothes and dripping wet hair, the girl closes her fist into a ball before knocking on the wooden surface.

The door opened and revealed her older brother. She steps into the house and feels the warmth immediately hit her skin. Without thinking any further, she rushes into her room to take a warm shower.

She dried her hair with her towel as she stepped out of the bathroom. She plops herself into her bed and grabs her phone. She types in a name on the search bar and presses on the first suggestion.

@staceyalbright

She knitted her brows as she clicks on her profile and scrolls through the unfamiliar page.

She clicks on one of her posts and scans her features, reddish-brown hair and brown eyes.

This is her? She thought.

She lets out a sigh before quitting the app and pressing her messages. Her eyes drifted to the name on the top of her screen who had just sent her a text.

Lucas

Max where are you!!!

Her fingers quickly typed back a response, before she could hit the 'Send' button, her screen shows an incoming call from Lucas. She rolls her eyes and sighed before she taps on the green button on the bottom corner.

"Lucas, you can't just call someone out of nowhere," she shakes her head.

"Oh, but I can!"

She lets out a chuckle and shuts her eyes for a brief moment, "So... Are you gonna tell me why you called me or?"

"Well... I need your help in something," he continues, "Remember that girl I told you about?"

She nods, "Stacey? Yeah, I do."

"Well... I asked her on a date and she said yes. We're going to the movies on Sunday." he says with a shy grin plastered on his face and red cheeks.

"That's great!" she lets out a proud smile.

"Yeah... Uhm, I was wondering if you could help me with these types of things...? Should I get her anything?"

"Buy her snacks there, we appreciate it. I don't know? Hold her hand during the movie?"

"Hold her hand? Are you sure?" she could clearly hear the uncertainty hinted in his voice. She sees his unsure expression on her screen and reassured him with a smile, "I'm sure."

"Okay... Thanks. I'll tell you how it goes," he answered.

Their little conversation ended not so long after. Lucas told her that his sister needed help with her homework. Max nodded and then they said their goodbyes. She pressed the red button and sighed deeply.
