CHAPTER TEN

'Homicidal Grandfather?'
HOMECOMING WAS NOT ALL THE MOVIES HAD ADVERTISED. Arabella had been at the party for a little over a half-hour, and nothing interesting had happened. She drank some punch, which was dreadful. She danced with a few overeager teenage boys, which again was dreadful. Perhaps it would have been better if Niklaus hadn't have moved the party and instead left it at the school, although she didn't have high hopes to the fact.
"So Love, is homecoming everything you were hoping it to be?" Niklaus's familiar voice calls out, causing Arabella to turn around with a huff. By the smirk placed proudly on his face, Arabella was well aware he knew exactly how she felt at the moment.
"You're funny," She laughs dryly. Rolling her eyes at the amusement clear on her Uncles face.
"Lucifers searching for you," The blond hybrid informs. His words caused Arabella to glance around the room in hopes to find the man. She had barely seen him for most of the night as he claimed he hadn't wished to come at all. Something Arabella found rather strange given that the man never seemed to turn down a party, even one as minimal as a high school homecoming.
"Where?" The youngest Mikaelson questioned. Finally dragging her eyes back to meet Niklaus's, noticing the slight worry behind his eyes he attempted to hide with false cockyness. Although she chose not to comment on it, knowing he would play it off and simply shut her out for the rest of the night.
"Last I saw he was being cornered by the prom queen. It's a shame she's still alive," He quips causing Arabella to chuckle. They were both well aware if Rebekah was here the prom queen would have been dead before she even received her crown.
"I'll make sure to go find him," Arabella informs. Pausing for a moment before she walked away. "You're not alone Nik, I'll be there as soon as you need me," She tells him softly before walking away. Not giving him a chance to respond.
The impossibly high heels the hybrid wore made an echoing click as she walked through the crowded halls. Her eyes were searching for Lucifer amongst the large groups of people. She almost gave up when she saw the familiar man pressed up against the wall by none other than Damon.
Letting out a small groan of annoyance, the brunette quickly sped over to the duo. Shoving the Salvatore vampire against the wall for a moment before pulling away her hand.
"Wow Damon," She mutters sarcastically. "You really know how to greet people," She continues. Gazing at him annoyed as she watches the well known 'Salvatore smirk' grow on his face as he straightens his jacket.
"Tiny. Welcome back. I can assure you I am amazing at greeting people," Damon greets proudly. Giving the young hybrid a sarcastic smile before opening his mouth to speak again, although he's stopped before he can speak a word.
