Your POV"Y/N! Don't forget to bring the plates from table six."
It is 6 pm on a rainy day. The small ramen restaurant I work at is about to close for the weekend and my coworkers and I are rushing to do all the cleaning and organizing in order to get off shift early.
After bringing the plates from table six to the sink, I put on a pair of gloves and help Ms. Lee do the dishes. Ms. Lee is a sweet old lady who has been working in this restaurant for more than 33 years and is just doing her best.
"No no Ms. Lee I'll do the dishes for you, go ahead and sit down near the counter." I motioned towards the counter as I took the plate from her hand and continued to clean the rest.
I finished up my last plate and set it on the rack to dry off. A small vibration from the side of my hip called my attention. It was my phone. I looked at the caller ID and turned out to be my sister. I quickly dried my hands and picked up the unexpected call.
"Hello?" I said without hesitating.
"Unnie!!! I miss you!!!"
"I miss you too, Yeri. How have you been doing?"
"It's all good over here! College couldn't be more difficult but I'm managing!" She sounded bright and cheery as she usually did. "Finals are- Oh! Right!" She seemed to have suddenly remembered something. "Dad!"
"What about Dad?" I glanced around, making sure no one would interrupt or catch me not doing my work. "Did something happen?"
"Dad told me that he wants to see you."
"Why. . ?"
"I'm not sure. He just said it's something very important and he needs you there."
"When exactly? I'm working right now."
"I don't know. . . Maybe after work?"
"Yeah, I can do that. Alright then, I have to finish up here so I'll talk to you later. Tell dad I'll see him as soon as I'm done."
"Ahhh okay, bye..!!" She then hung up and I stuffed my phone into my pocket once again to finish up.
I looked as others began to bring up the many chairs on top of the tables as per routine. "I've got the floors, alright?" My coworkers gave me a pair of thumbs-ups and small smiles before I made my way to the storage closet to reach for the mop.
The floors were dirtier than usual due to the rainy weather outside so this time instead of slacking off as I usually do, I had to actually make an effort and clean it all off.
After cleaning the floors I put away the mop and bucket. I went to the back to grab my bag and belongings. I turned off all the lights in the restaurant and then locked the doors, calling it a night.
It took about 15 minutes to arrive at my dad's building. I met the lady at the front desk and told her about my meeting today.
"Hi, here to meet your dad today right, miss?"
I nodded and smiled at her as she handed me the card to go inside the building. I walked past security to make my way to the elevator. Where I will be headed to the top floor, where my dad's office is.
I knocked on the door while slowly opening it. I peeked through and saw my father going through some documents. He looked up with a small smile once he saw my presence.
"Good Evening Y/N," he greeted me with a serious look on his face. "Took you long enough to get here," he spoke and I held back the urge to just roll my eyes at him. "Busy with work?"
