Your POV
I thought this whole marriage thing would affect me a whole lot more than it has but I guess I was completely wrong about this whole ordeal. It's been about a week since anyone has mentioned anything about it to me and I haven't even heard from my husband'. Not that I'm complaining or anything. This is actually great! I'm guessing I just have to live my normal life but be known as "Park Jimin's Wife" in the business world.
I was in the middle of shaving my lower left leg until I was interrupted by a loud knock coming from my apartment's front door.
"Now, who in the fuck decides to come to my house at a time like this??! Especially so early in the morning?!" Sure, it wasn't so early as it already was 10 am but it is common decency to visit others during afternoon hours, right? I quickly put on my gray wool robe and began walking towards my front door to investigate who came, leg still covered in shaving cream. As I take more steps the knocks intensify, annoying me 10 times more.
"OKAY OKAY! I'M GOING!-" I opened the door to meet eyes with 3 unknown people. I looked at them from head to toe with confusion. Until I broke the awkward silence.
"Uhm do I know you guys??" I asked furrowing my eyebrows with the door half-opened. The 3 men looked at each deciding who was gonna be the one speaking.
"Oh, Uhm... good morning! Allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Mr. Park's men and we are here to escort you to his home."
"Park Jimin's?..." My jaw dropped realizing what was going to happen. Are you saying I have to go live with a person who I don't know?? Are you serious ?! Why didn't anyone tell me before? I was snapped back to reality when one of the men waved his hand in front of my face.
"Hi Miss Y/N I'm Jeon Jungkook, and I'm Mr. Park's secretary" he bowed and gave me a soft smile revealing his bunny teeth. I kept glaring to make them feel as if they were not welcomed here. I am so not ready for this and don't see the need to be forced to go to that man's home.
"I'm Jung Hoseok. I'll be one of your bodyguards. Alongside with this dude here," he gestured at the other handsome guy who seemed to have soft yet sharp features on his face. "Kim Taehyung," he introduced Taehyung to me and I just stood frozen on the spot.
"We're here under Jimin's orders but we will also be taking care of you." No wonder he didn't bother introducing himself, the man sounded as scary as he looked. He bowed but didn't smile. All and throughout, he looked bored.
I stared at them blankly before thinking what to say. "So what am I supposed to do??"
"I suggest you get dressed so we can quickly be there on time... and maybe remove the- the um-" Jungkook pointed at my half-shaven leg. "That..." Shoot! I forgot about the shaving cream on my fucking leg. "Mr. Park's mansion is far from the city. It'll take a while to get there." Jeon Jungkook's words were careful and respectful.
"Ah, ok... do make yourselves comfortable while I get ready I guess..." I moved to the side, allowing them to enter my apartment and sit on the couch that was right in front of the entrance. "I won't take long." I forced a smile and turned to the bathroom, making sure to quickly finish shaving the rest of my leg in which I had embarrassingly left shaving cream on.
I quickly put on some lotion and moisturizer on my face and body to then throw on a purple oversized hoodie with my favorite, almost worn-out mom jeans and a pair of converse sneakers. As soon as I stepped foot out the door, I was being stared at by three pairs of judging eyes.
"What's wrong?.." The confidence I once had was shrinking by the second but I still didn't think there was anything wrong with the way I was dressed. The judging looks all in themselves made me uncomfortable but I kept my head up. The three guys then continued to look at me from head to toe before Jung Hoseok cleared his throat.
"May I suggest you dress more appropriately and formally since we will be meeting some of Mr. Park's family members?" I looked down at my outfit and realized the problem. It isn't formal. I don't think I own any formal clothes.
I removed my sneakers in one swift motion, looking at them while thinking. "Sorry. It'll take one more second," I apologize but only briefly as I was already walking over back to my bedroom.
I stared at my wardrobe filled with clothes that were a little too casual. Just what am I supposed to wear to meet the parents of my contract husband? I'm sure I own a pair of nice pants...
It only took me about three minutes to find something good to wear but by the look on Kim Taehyung's face, one would think I was in there forever. "Is this better??" I forced a smile, looking at them to see if they would make the same expression they had made earlier.
I wore a pair of light brown high waisted pants that still fit me from a few years ago and a black turtleneck long-sleeved shirt that I got on sale at some random store. "The heels are a little too much, no?" I'm sure my hair is alright since the slicked-back style parted in the side was still a thing, right?. "Or is it the hoops?"
They stared and didn't say anything as I tried to look at my reflection in the mirror near me. "Oh no- that's great. Does that mean you're ready to go?" I reached for my bag and put it over my shoulder and gestured for them to walk ahead of me out of the apartment.
"All done here, I'll lock up and follow right behind." I locked the door and just as soon, the elevator door had opened and the three tall and handsome guys were getting in it to be headed to the first floor with me still behind them.
The door to the SUV was opened by Jungkook and he waited for me to get in it. It was a seven seater and I just concluded that I would be the one sitting in the very back whilst the three guys sat on the seat next to the driver's seat and the two in the middle.
"There's a second car?"
"Security. Don't worry about it." Kim Taehyung guided me into the car and got on right after me. "They won't probably be necessary for such a long ride but as they say-"
"Better safe than sorry." Jungkook interrupted but his eyes were locked on the phone he was holding and he didn't turn to look at me from besides the driver's seat where he was. "Buckle up, get comfortable because it's going to be a pretty long ride." He finally turned to look at me with a forced, obviously false smile.
A long ride and a long day I think..
