"I have a favor to ask",he responded. Looking more hesitant than before. Ah, so this is why he's acting all concerned. He's got an ulterior motive. I sighed softly, feeling a bit disappointed.
"Ok? Let's hear it." I answered, starting to feel annoye...
My eyes widened in shock of what just happened. I instantly turned my face away from him.
Fxck! Just kill me now. It's too embarrassing!
On the other hand, Singto doesn't look shocked one bit. This jerk! He's really getting into my nerves!
I grabbed his polo shirt wanting to smack him but I couldn't bring myself to do it. He just looked at me calmly, it seems like he's expecting what comes next.
"What's wrong with you? Why are you pestering me?", I asked him angrily.
I don't know why I'm mad but I am! He just looked at me again calmly. He shook his head and sighed.
"Maybe it's not the right time yet. Let's talk again when you're calmer." He said then reached for the door knob behind me and gestured to leave.
"Asshole!", I exclaimed as he went out of the room.
He suddenly turned back to me, glaring, "Call me that again and you'll get more than a kiss!".
I got speechless, my face feels hot all of a sudden. I clenched my fist and walked passed him right away before my body betrays me.
I've had enough embarrassment in a day even it's only him who can see it. This is so frustrating! What kind of game is he playing at?! That guy spells trouble! I should just have punched his smug face!
The day passed by in a flash. I haven't been able to focus on anything and just went with the flow. I was on my way out of the Uni when I saw a familiar face standing at the entrance of my dorm building.
"K-Krist?",she meekly called out to me.
Oh, god! I'm not in the mood for this. But somehow, I feel happy seeing her again.
"Oh, it's you.", I responded. Trying to act casual as much as possible.
"How are you?", I asked.
"I-I'm alright. I'm here to ask you that. I haven't heard from you for a while." she said, flashing a smile. She seems normal.
Unlike me who got the world upside down.
"I'm fine too, I guess.", I answered awkwardly. I don't know what to say next.
"I haven't had lunch yet. Wanna go have a snack together?",she asked after a moment of silence.
"Hmm.. Ok. The usual place?",I answered as I looked back at her still trying to act normal.
She just nodded and walked on ahead.
The usual place is the cafeteria beside our dorm where they serve my favorite sea foods. We used to order the same drink, choco mocha.
I went on ahead and got it for both of us. As we were about to sit and eat our food, (choco mocha and sauteed shrimps) when an unfamiliar person approached us. Eloisa looked unsettled all of a sudden as she throws a glance at me.
The man, casually kissed her cheek as if I wasn't there.
"Hi, babe. Are you surprised?",the man said talking to Eloisa.
"Tay! Y-yeah! What are you doing here?", she responded awkwardly.
"Guess what?", Tay continuesly talking to L. She just smiled back waiting for him to continue.
"I transferred here!",he exclaimed excitedly. I felt my heart torn into pieces. But what can I do? L looked at me like I'm such a poor creature which she doesn't know how to help.
Really? Can't this day be any worse? Tay followed L's gaze and finally noticed me.
"Oh, who's your friend?", he asked L, seemingly clueless about everything.
"Uhm.. Tay this is Krist, my close friend here in the University",she responded hesitatingly.
Tay looked at me then held out his hand for hand shake, I just smiled and stood up.
Close friend. Cool. This is too much for me to bare.
"Ah, I forgot I have an exam early tomorrow. I have to go back now to review. See you around, L.", I excused myself before I loose my cool.
I rushed back to my room and hit the door with my fist as soon as I closed it. My knuckles bled but the pain is worse in my chest. My tears just rolled down on its own. I just sat on the floor feeling helpless leaning against the door. Silence.
"Rough day, huh?", a calm baritone voice shattered the silence in the room. I instantly looked at where it was coming from, I forgot I also have this annoying room mate.
I shook my head and stood up.
Took my polo shirt off, laid down my bed, and covered my face with a pillow. My eyes getting heavy and I drifted away to sleep..
