Iris spent the night. Nothing happend except for exchanging stories that they had already told each other and cuddling. She didn't expect Joel to be cuddler, but as soon as they got into his bed, he brought her close to him and snuggled his face into her neck. It was early in the morning when their sleep was broke by a loud knock at the door, the pair groaned, as Joel whispered, "go back to sleep, I'll get it."
He slivered out of the position, leaving Iris cold as his warmth vanished, she heard Joel walk downstairs and open the door, but their voices were muffled, she decides to get up and pulls Joel's button up closer to her body, she stumbles down the stairs and into the living room, where she sees Tommy talking to Joel.
"Hey, what's going on?" She asks as she rubs the sleep from her eyes, Tommy's eyes widen as he looks between his brother and Iris, Joel's face had turned a dusty pink as he realises what Tommy must of been thinking, the younger brother clears his throat and explains, "Maria caught wind of infected up north, she wants Joel and I to clear it out."
Iris nods her head, "oh. Do you need any help?" Joel jumps in and reminds her, "haven't you got patrol with Jesse later?" She shakes her head, "yeah, you're right."
Tommy walks over to door and grabs the handle, "I'll be waiting by the horses." He leaves as Joel mumbles a short okay. The couple walk up to Joel's bedroom once again where they get dressed. Joel was dressed in his normal navy blue jeans and his old mustard jacket, but he quickly pulled out a pair of gloves as snow surrounded Jackson.
Iris didn't have any new clothes to throw on so she had to improvise, she hopped into her usual black jeans and white tank top but had to borrow one of Joel's old jackets, she has to roll the sleeves up as they reached the end of her finger tips.
Joel was sitting on the edge of the bed as he was tying up the laces on his boots, Iris sat behind him with her arms wrapped around his middle, she leans his chin on his shoulder and says, "please be careful." Joel places his foot down on the floor and replies nonchalantly, "I always am." She rolls her eyes at him, "sure you are, hun."
He stands up and holds his hand out to help her up off of the bed, "I promise I'll be fine." She moves to stand closer to him, she rest her arms around his neck, "Okay, I'll believe you." Joel leans down and plants a small kiss on her lips, before pulling away, "I've got to go." Before he could leave Iris asks, "hey, um, when you get back... do you maybe, wanna watch a movie?" He smiles widely, "sure."
Joel leaves the houses and goes to stables where his brother was waiting for him.

A few hours later, Iris decides to head down to the local restaurant. The cold wind nips against her face as flecks of snow land in her black hair.
She pushes open the doors to the warm building as squeezes through the crowd of people. She sees the cook, Seth, bustling around in the kitchen, they catch eyes and Iris sends him a angry glare. He gulps and looks away from her, scuttling away out of sight.
She spots Maria talking to some of the younger folk in Jackson, and she decides to walk over to her once she's done with her conversation. The women sidehug each other and exchange a quick hello.
