E P I L O G U E

Snow fell all around Iris as she snuck into the lit up cabin, she caught sight of burnt infected laying at the front gate so she took the high ground. "Joel! Tommy!" She yells, jumping down onto the balcony of the cabin.

She walks through the beaded door and hears screams close by, "where is that coming from?" Her heart pounds against her ribcage as she walks down the stairs, her gun was aimed up when she sees sleeping bags by a fire, "shit." She mutters.

Following the screams she walks down the stairs to a basement, she grips into the door knob and holds her gun even tighter.

Opening the door she sees Joel on the floor, his head been beaten open by a tall blonde women holding a golf club. She gasps when she was knocked to the floor by a man, she hits her knee upwards hitting his crotch and punching him across the face.

She pinned to the floor by an Asian man and an African American woman, "get the fuck off of me!" She yells, looking at another man who towered over Tommy's unconscious form.

The man that she punched across the face stalks towards her and begins and kicks her in her chest and stomach, "bitch!" He growls but another man pulls him away from her, "you got her. Look, you got her, okay?"

Iris gulps looking at Joel's weak body, blood spills from his head, his eye was swollen and he was withering from the pain, "please let him go." She begs, trying to wriggle out of the grips of the people on top of her.

A sandy blonde haired man walks out with a short haired women, "what's going on?" He asks, walking next to the tall blonde woman. "Let him go!" Iris yells.

"Who is that?" The man asks, motioning his gun to her, "she snuck in." One of the women tell him. "Why aren't you posted up outside?" He asks the African American woman.

"We didn't think anyone would show up!" She defends herself, pushing more of her body weight onto Iris to keep her down. "What the hell did you expect? We gotta get out of here, before the whole towns on top of us." He says walking closer.

He turns to the woman with the golf club, "we're done." She steps closer to him, not dropping the weapon, "you want what I want right?"

"End it. Now." He orders. Iris sobs not even trying to escape anymore, "Joel, baby, please get up. Joel get up!" Joel doesn't move only staring at her sadly, "please stop." She begs, her voice cracking as she does so.

"Please don't do this." Abby raises the golf club above her head, "Joel, please get up." She swings the club down on his head, his skull cracks at the force and stops moving completely. "No!" Iris screams, tears pouring down her face.
