Chapter 12

CHAPTER 12: THE
MOONLIGHT'S  CURSE

HANNAH

I was sleeping peacefully when suddenly I woke up. Without knowing what's the reason, I quickly got up and walked outside my room towards the balcony seeking for some fresh air. I am not sleep walking yet my feet just takes me to my room terrace  with the moon painted in front of it with the shining shimmering stars in the background, wanting to dull out its shine yet the moon always shimmer brighter than all of them.  And all the trees are dancing with the wind swaying peacefully reaching the dark skies.  And the wind is singing sweetly whistling amazing notes into my ears.

I feel like I'm in cloud nine at this wonderfully amazing moment. I closed my eyes and felt the wind hugging me with my hair flowing in its majesty and grace. I smiled for a while and then cried when I saw the moonlight giving me its spotlight. The moon's light is bright yet it's full of sadness. I sat at the balcony safely and sure that I am not gonna fall from the second floor. I just want to cherish closely, the curse of this beautiful sorrowful view. I hummed with the song of the wind and whistles its notes. I danced with the graceful choreography of the trees, and was hypnotized by the rays of the moonlight.

I closed my eyes really adoring this feeling. My tears never stopped flowing down my cheeks yet it isn't enough to wipe away my smile. It is a curse of emotion mixed together. For in the moonlight, most of the mysterious things happen.

While my eyes are closed, someone ruined my beautiful moment.

"Hannah? Don't jump!" Axel said loudly and  I got shocked and eventually slipped out of the balcony causing me to fall from the second floor but luckily my hands had its fast reflexes and I gripped really tight to the balcony.

" Hannah just grip on okay? I' ll pull you." Axel said in panic.

" No! My door is locked. " I'm also panicking.

'What am I gonna do?' I asked myself. Probably I'll broke a bone if I jumped. Its not a joke it's very high even though it's just a second floor. I'm really panicking. I can't breathe properly. This is not good. And my hands are slipping. I am doomed.

"Oh shit! What will we do? I said don't jump." He said angrily.

"I didn't jump Mister! You scared the hell out of me. I am just sitting peacefully and then you ruined it all." I said with emphasis on every word.

" I'm sorry. Trust me. Now you can jump" He said sincerely. My mind is splitting in what should I do. Yet time is running out and my hands can't grip anymore.

"Do you trust me Hannah ? " He asked and with that question my grip was released and I began to fall. And luckily he caught me safe and sound but he got out of balance and we both ended up in the swimming pool with freezing water and I literally CANNOT SWIM.

My body got all wet actually really freezing to death and I can't find Axel anywhere and I am really struggling to float and totally panicking again.  I moved myself specially my hands to search for hime but there is no sign of him. I cannot even open my eyes because I really don't know how.

This is a fucking 12 feet swimming pool!

I'm running out of breath and actually crying while shouting Axel's name every time I get a chance to float but then the most possible terrible situation came. My leg cramped ! And I really can't breathe and and totally shivering . I was about to lose hope and finally close my eyes and accept this tragic death when I felt someone came closer to me and swam to the surface. And finally oxygen filled my whole system and I can finally breathe perfectly.

I opened my eyes and saw Axel with really worried eyes and also gasping for air. When he saw me opened my eyes he hugged me so tight. I hugged him back placing my hands in his shoulders. We're still in the freezing pool all wet and hugging like the world's gonna end.

" I thought you were gonna die. I'm so sorry I took so long I bumped my head at the bottom but I'm fine and I saw you struggling. So I quickly swam t--" I placed my index finger in his lips and stopped his sentence because he doesn't have to apologize for he had saved me again. I smiled at him.

" Thank you." I said and removed my index finger from his lips. And accidentally I stared at his lips a little longer than normal which I greatly known that I showed a sign of being attracted to him. And I knew it. His one hand held my face while the other was holding my waist to keep me above water. And his face slowly moves towards mine and finally our lips touched while the moonlight is giving us its spotlight ignoring the freezing water we're in.

I closed my eyes and kissed him back. It was magical, and mysterious. Emotions filled me. The kiss was so passionate and if I was to describe it I can totally say our kiss is full of love. I placed both of my arm around his neck and his hand that was cupping my face travelled to my waist and he pulled me closer and I didn't fought the fact that his kisses are becoming deeper.

I don't know what I am doing but my arms pulled him closer to me and my lips competed at his kisses. At last we both stopped and gasp for air. I looked into his eyes but his eyes avoided my gaze.  His hands moved to my leg and he carried me to the floor. He got out of the water too and he checked my leg and lessen its cramp by making it straight and pushing my toes towards me. He didn't even looked at me. And quickly he just went inside leaving me out here alone.

I cried again and laughed sadly. Of course I shouldn't have kissed him back. I looked at the moon. I smiled bitterly and realized I was under the moonlight's curse.
