Raahil forced open his eyes to the ringing sound of his phone. His bloodshot eyes being enough proof that things aren't in his favor. He practically dragged himself out of the bed to attend the phone call.
"Hello..." he answered, his voice clearly expressing that the last thing he wanted to do was speaking over the phone.
" Things aren't going well, huh?" a woman on the other side whispered dangerously. Raahil felt something bad about her at that very instant.
"Who..who are you?" he asked.
"I am here to help you.... I just came to know that we both have a common goal." that woman said with a devilish voice.
"Sorry, wrong number." he said cutting the phone. He has been a wreck after Sameera got married to Murad. He had seen his dreams shatter. He closed his eyes trying to make out her features one by one. Thinking about her made him even more hard to breathe. May be thats why he relayed on alcohol. A newly found habit that he hated very much. He knee alcohol brought nothing but trouble. His own life was living proof of it. But he felt helpless. Sameera was the only person whom he could rely when he was sad, angry or hurt. But now she itself changed into a reason that he was utter mess.
He decided to take a walk to clear his mind. After all , he felt Sameera would come if he tried, if he called her.He would then take her away from there to a place where they both will be happy. To a place no one would find them.
He was walking not knowing his destination. He walked looking for a plan to get her out of this mess so they could live peacefully. That's when he noticed the figure coming towards him absentmindedly. She was lost in her own thoughts. He so badly wanted to hug her there. But she was someone else's now. She felt like a forbidden fruit to him.
"Sameera..." he called on to her. Her beautiful blue eye that always took his breath away was now lifeless.
"Raahil..." her voice so tender almost telling him that she was not okay.
"What have you done Sameera..?" He had so many questions in his mind. He wanted to ask if she was okay, if she was eating properly but all he could ask was that.
"I don't know Raahil, I just don't know what I am doing... I just know that there is no you and me anymore.. Its all over. Please move on, Raahil. There is no way we can be together anymore. I am married too and my mother will hurt you even more. So please move on.." she begged tears running marathon.
" No Sameera, if there is a women in my life it would be you." he replied all so broken. Sameera's words were like daggers that crushed his already broken heart.
"Please move on... We can't be together anymore." with that being said she walked away with her heavy heart closing that chapter forever.
*****
Her words were like daggers. He felt like someone ripping his heart again and again when he replayed those words in his head. Somehow he felt that this was the end.
Rain started pouring out cooling his heated head. He replayed all the happy memories from the day he met her. She was always happy and easy going. She was the one who approached him first. Slowly there came a time when he couldn't live without her. That's when decided to confess his love for her. Him being hopeless in romance, all he brought was a pink teddy on his cousin, Omar's advice. He didn't even know if she would accept him. But she did and filled his black and white life with rainbow colors. Slowly the scene shifted to him getting beaten up and she accepting to marry some other guy.
Tears slipping out of his bloodshot eyes. He must have cried litres by now. Rain drenched him. Slowly he walked to the bridge looking down at the roaring waves of water that could engulf him. Remembering her face for one last time, he said goodbye to his life, ending it all at once.
