Pov - Cyrus

The sign for San Luis Obispo comes into view.  Instantly a smile comes across my face.  I remember coming here 2 years ago with my family.  Today, I come by myself.  With a car packed full of my stuff.  

I applied for a college here in SLO and I got in.  I officially live here now.  Just a regular 18 year old kid living in his favorite place.

Also, to mention, I'm going to reunite with one of my favorite people ever.  Me and Tj have facetimed every day.  We have not broken contact since that one summer 2 years ago.

I also found out that Amber was in fact talking to my best friend Andi.  They actually are dating right now.  I'm happy for them.  Andi deserved a great love story.  If you're wondering about Buffy.  Well, she's with Marty, happy as can be.  She deserves a great love story too.

I drive towards Morro Bay.  I almost know for a fact that Tj is there.  He always his.  He doesn't know I'm coming, which makes this better.  Surprises are always better than planning ahead of time.

The car in front of me slows to a stop. What the hell? I stop my car too.  There's traffic on the freeway now.  I shouldn't have left so late.  I wait in the annoying traffic jam for it to move.  Why can't people just drive?

Pov - Tj

I sit on my usual railing, staring out at the ocean.  The breeze hits my face, blowing my hair out of my face.  The sounds of seagulls and nearby children circle me.  I really do love it here.  I could stay here forever.  

I open my phone, noticing my lock screen with me and Cyrus at this very beach.  I smile at the photo.  He hasn't texted or called me all day. It's kind of weird.  

I close my phone and look out at the ocean.  I watch surfers catch waves.  One catches one then falls off, while another one rides a wave all the way to the shore.  He does a victory dance which makes me laugh.

"What are you laughing at?" A voice comes from behind me.  My heart stops.  Not in a bad way, but I immediately recognize the voice.

I turn around and my mouth falls open.

"Hey stranger," Cyrus says from below me. "Did you miss me?"

Before he says another word I hop off the railing and run to him.  I immediately hug him and he hugs me back.

"Careful, you're gonna make me fall," he says.

I laugh out of disbelief. I pull away. "Is it you?  Is it really you?" I ask.

"Yes, Tj, it's me." he says, smiling wide.

I pull him in and kiss him.  I've been dreaming of this moment for forever.  I never thought it would be today.  I kiss the lips that I've remembered from a long time ago.  2 years of facetiming and texting, but he's here with me now.  I couldn't be happier.

I pull away. "Why are you here?" I ask.

"Well, I applied to a college nearby, and I got in!" he says, excitedly.

"No way!" I say, a smile spreading on my face.

"Yep, so I'm permanently here with you." he says.

"Don't ever leave me again!" I say, kissing him again.

I hold him tight.  I'm so glad he's here with me,  I don't want him to leave me again.

Cyrus pulls away from the kiss. "I love you," he spits out.

A blush creeps on my face. "I love you," I say, hugging him again.

He's not here for a vacation anymore, now it's home.
