The fire seemed to dance as it glowed, lighting up Lightbulb, OJ, Test Tube, and Salt's glass. It waltzed off Paintbrush, Knife, and, again, Lightbulb's metal. It seemed to illuminate the eyes of the entire cast, turning eyes of red, blue, pink, yellow, orange, and more into glowing disks. Some contestants had chocolate, marshmallow, and gram cracker crumbs around their mouthes and on their hands. Some on folding chairs, some on stools from inside, some on the bare grass.

Knife, chuckling: How about we stop being so silent and do something?

Somehow, through chatting, the topic changed to scary stories.

Lightbulb: Ooh! Me first!

There is an anticipating silence.

Lightbulb: I got nothing.

Paper quietly sighed in relief, as it would be a minute or two before the scary stories began. He wasn't too happy about the scary stories about to be told. Knife stepped up to the flames and rubbed his hands together menacingly.

Knife: A long time ago, on a night like this, right on this very spot, there were a few objects telling stories by the fire. Just like us.

Meanwhile, at Purgatory Mansion....

Marshmallow: You just up and went missing, how do you think they'll react if you went back?

Apple: I'm sure they'll be happy I came back, even if just for a day.

Marshmallow: Alright, just don't do anything dumb.

Apple: On it!

Back at the campfire...

Knife: And so the object who vanished in shattered glass came back. For revenge.

The rest of the cast seemed to look like they saw a ghost.

Knife: Pfft. Am I really that good?

Apple: Hey guys!

Everybody screamed, including Knife, not expecting his story to come true.

Apple: Bye.

The screaming died down, Paper being the last to stop. Some odd chain of events led to Paper being the spooky storyteller. Nobody recalls what it was. A few minutes later, everybody was having trouble getting calmer.

Paper: Was it really that scary?

OJ: Yes it was, to be honest.

A few minutes later.....

The cast was inside, sipping hot drinks and chatting to each other. They had reformed the "Can't Sleep Club" in a similar fashion to when Microphone brought up Taco and a taser in the same sentence. It was past midnight. Some had blankets, some had pillows, some had stuffed animals. All were sleepy, but none could get to sleep.

Hours later. The sky outside is clear and light.

Everybody was in the living room, still fast asleep. Some having nightmares of whatever Paper had told, some having nightmares of Apple appearing out of the shadows, some had peaceful dreams, some had dreams of other sorts. The birds outside were chirping softly. There was sunlight streaming through the windows onto the group, warm both in temperature and in hue. Empty mugs were scattered across the table.
