My Demon Side

I follow my crow to the next mission to the place that was pretty far than I expected.

While I looking for the village I meet a group of children playing on the street. Hearing their laughter, energetic, and playful without concern remember me of my old past.

"Yatta, I did it!" A boy with curled brown hair screaming happily.

"Ehhhh, not fair~" I whined when I lose the chasing game while my another friend who has black-blue hair just stand silently.

"Omodetto Amatsuki. You have shown your ability as a fast runner and attacker for a short boy." A black-blue hair said sarcastically at the curled brown hair boy.

Hearing it makes Amatsuki boiled in anger. It can't be helpful for someone who has short tampered. Amatsuki grabs a black-blue hair boy collar tightly but he did not even flinch when be treated.

"What's your problem, gloomy boy," Amatsuki growled at him.

"Have a problem with it, shorty?" A black-blue hair boy talks back.

"Minna...no fighting." I move my body in the middle of them, hopefully, stop their argument.

It worked. They make a staring contest but still worked!

"Ara~ what is this heat situation?" My father comes to the scene. "Mafumafu, can you explain?"

I tell father that we practice the sword until it becomes a fight. My father smiles hearing what I say then staring at both of my friends, still with his fake smile.

We can feel anger behind that smile, so we kneel in front of my father to calm his anger at us. What he can only do just sigh give up to fight against the 3 boys in front of him. He shrugs it off which we relief but only for a while. My father chops our head straight to our head when we let our guard down.

"There's was a rule in demon slayers that says never fight against comrade. Keep that ok Amatsuki, Soraru, and my little Teru Teru Bozu." He picks my cheeks which making me pouted.

I may be small but I'm not a baby!

All of them laugh looking at me who still pouted. I can't help but joined they laugh too.

What good memories at that time. You only realized how precious it is when it becomes the past.

Mafumafu you can't be weak right now! You have promised to become strong for them!

I slap my cheeks and continue to walk until I finally arrived at my destination. I searching for an inn and thank goodness they still have one room left.

The night finally comes, I prepared myself and walk out on the street searching demons.

"Not around here," I mumbling and walking further until I at the dark road.

When I start to walk away I hear a woman screaming not too far from me. I follow it to the source of the noise but nothing. I can still hear it like it was pretty close to me.

"Could it be?" I close my eyes and let myself be surrounded by darkness. There's was I found, one white flame being surrounded with 2 red flames.

"There they are!" I run to the group hoping it wasn't too late.
