Chapter one where it all began

I was in my room in my one story apartment sure my life wasn't always good as a kid I was suffering through my parents break up and had to go to therapy because of it my mom worked late hours in a pub of my old home Town Grate stone town it was a small town small enough if one roomer started everyone would know about it like the family from grate stone ranch but my own mother told me it was a roomer I swore I herd sirens from the backyard of my own home but one day it stopped.I'm glad that I got out of there it was getting to crowded and I didn't have enough money to pay the mortgage on the house after mom and dad died from natural causes I guess I'm alone I kind of miss my old friends jake Rick mark John and Rachel I haven't seen them after our graduation From great stone university I think they have a better life than mine.i picked up one of the boxes on my bed and started unpacking it was only a week from my last brake up with my girlfriend that cheater but I can't always hold a grudge I think it's best for me to have a restart in my life when I finished unpacking I set the empty box right next to my own bed I took a look at an old photo of my family I was so happy back then.i heard my phone buzz next to me on my night stand I reserved a message I unlocked my phone and took a look.

"Hey it's me mark we haven't talked in awhile short stake and I wanted to know how your doing"

My hart skipped a beat it was mark I quickly texted him back

"Hey mark I'm doing great how are things going for you"

"Nothing much just been in New York City as a photographer and I was wondering if you wanted to go on a camping trip with me Rachel Rick Jake and John tomorrow at short ranch trail in Tahoe"

"I would love to join it will be great to see you all again"

I was excited I grabbed my sleeping bag and prepared everything I needed for this trip I picked up my phone and ordered a pizza from Pizza Hut for dinner after the man arrived I payed him and ate after eating I got ready for bed I woke up and grabbed my things and drove to Tahoe I got to the trail just in time I saw them my childhood friends I stepped out of the car "hay short stack".short stack was my nick name that mark gave me when We were in middle school  "hey mark long time no see""James is that you!"I heard the surprise from Rachel's voice she ran over and hugged me "it's nice to see you two Rachel"I smiled."James my man"John walked over and high fived my hand "your looking better than ever I'm sorry to hear about your brake up with your girl""it's alright I learned to move on""James what's up"Jake held out his hand for a high five I smiled right when I was going to high-five him Jake moved his hand away and laughed "sorry James I couldn't help my self"I smiled and laughed as well "you never changed"mark was looking at the map and back at us "hey let's get the camping trip started"we walked down the trail to our camping spot but Rachel suddenly stopped "hey do you see that!?"I walked back to where she was I saw nothing but trees all around "see what?"Rachel looked at me and said "I thought I saw a creepy looking poll n-never mind".we continued the walk we saw two hikers walked right in front of us and gone the opposite direction they had the look of fear we finally reached our camping ground we Set up camp we pitched up our tents and got firewood to start the fire by the time we finished the sun was already setting we sat down and roasted marshmallows.Jake got up "hey I have to go do something I'll right back""ok"I smiled and went back to roasting marshmallows over the fire 5 minutes passed by and then we heard broken siren sound echoed then a loud screaming was heard
