Chapter 3 the cries for help

I looked at Rachel she looked pail pail as a bed sheet in a hospital "y-your suggesting to split up""yes it will make things easier""easier easier you dragged us out here to "go camping and have a nice time"when one of us just got killed are you insane""it will be harder for that creature to get all of us at once besides I didn't know that this would happen"Rachel fell silent we decided to split up Rachel sticker with me when John and mark sticked together good thing I brought a flashlight we walked on the north side of our camp sight we could see the blood trail where that thing carried rick off Rachel ran behind the tree I could tell she wasn't doing so well."h-hey are you doing ok?"Rachel lifted her head "y-yeah I'm fine just...not feeling well""oh ok let's just continue if you need a break just let me know".we continued down the path we came across another gate Rachel bolted past me she went to the gate the she opened the gate it led to another path we looked at each other Rachel went off on the path.my mind was racing if we where ever going to get out we meant Jake along the path he ran up to us covered in blood "Jake what happened!?""that thing attacked me it picked me up and threw me!"I could see that Jake was gripping on the his side."Jake...move your hand"Jake moves his hand away from his side I could see a sharp tree branch Piercing into his side Rachel's eyes widen she covered her mouth she looked like she was going to be sick "I-it's not that bad right?"his voice sounded shaky. Rachel looked away jake dropped down to the floor clenching on to his side Rachel looked back at me I knew what I had to do but I was afraid if I took out the branch he would bleed out I looked at Rachel"do you have a pocket knife?"she reached in her pocket pulled out a butterfly knife she handed me the knife I walked over to jack and grabbed ahold of the branch that was sticking out Jake looked away I began cutting away at the at the branch sticking out Jake screamed in pain.after I finished hacking away at the last peace of wood that was left Rachel rushed over to jakes side "Jake what happened what did this to you!?""That thing attacked like I said earlier I walked away from camp to go get some more fire wood when I got lost I guess you didn't notice I was gone I heard screaming so I went to check what was going on I saw it it looked like a telephone poll but with sirens attached to it it picked me up and threw me against a tree I was laying on the ground trying to play dead so it would go away but it heard something it got on all fours and crawled to the sound that's when I heard more screaming".Jake was silent we heard more screaming it sounded like it was getting closer Rachel helped Jake up we hid behind a big rock we saw the creature once more it was playing what sounded like multiple screams calling out for help we recognized one.that monster was mimicking our friend's cries the creature stepped in to the moon light we could see it it stopped dead in its  tracks still playing those screams the creature was staring in our direction.
