A state of mind

Lisa was sleeping soundly on the couch that she had fallen asleep on yesterday . I didn't notice just how affected Lisa was by their contract but seeing her dark circles and haggard face, I realised that Lisa was so good at hiding her troubles, you'd think that she didn't have any.

Shaking my head, I decided to make some breakfast. Luckily, no one had woken up yet so I laid a thick blanket over her and walked to the kitchen. Scanning through the pantry for ingredients; I went to make the classic pancakes, Jungkook style, with plenty of butter. Not long after mixing up the ingredients, whipping the batter and pouring it onto the hot pan, piles of steaming pancakes sat on large plates.

Perhaps the fragrant smell woke Lisa up. "Did you make breakfast?" She asked, sleepily rubbing her eyes.

"Good morning, sunshine." I smiled at her happily as her eyes moved excitedly after noticing the food before her. Lisa eagerly slid into one of the stools and began digging in.

"Thank you for the food." She said with stuffed cheeks. I couldn't stop my smile from appearing as I saw her innocent side. How she was able to find happiness in the simplest things.

Standing behind her, I rested my chin on her head lazily, "Anytime Lily." Even though I couldn't see her face, I just knew that it was probably getting really red.

"Wah! Something smells so good." J-hope shouted, unaware of Lisa's presence. We both turned to see him and J-hope stumbled back in shock. "AHH! Lisa-ssi is here? I'm not wearing a shirt!" J-hope said, covering his torso.

"Then wear one hyung or don't. I just want my food." Lisa said nonchalantly before turning back to the devour the food before her. I smiled proudly at Lisa's cool demeanour and followed suit, teasing J-hope. "Yeah hyung, wear one or don't."

"What's with all this noise so early in the morning?!" Jin asked sleepily scratching his head. "Omo! L-Lisa?"

"Annyeonghaseyo, Jin Hyung." Lisa said politely.

"Wah, it's so cool to see you here. I thought you would've been so busy with work."

Her happy demeanour dropped at Jin's mention of 'work'.  "Eh, Hyung. Aren't you hungry?" I said glaring at him to drop the subject. What is going on in Lisa's mind?

Suddenly, Lisa got a notification from her phone. She looked at it and became more worried. "Hey, my manager wants me to go to YG for awhile, I should head home to get ready first." She said already getting up.

I pouted sadly at her news. "Oh okay, all the best. We'll talk later!" I said firmly with narrowed eyes.

I unlocked the front door to see my unnies gathered lazily around the living room. When they saw me, they all stood up and rushed to me.

"Lisa! Where have you been? We've been worried sick!" Jennie asked.

"I'm so sorry for what I said yesterday, I should've paid more attention to how you felt. Please forgive me." Jisoo apologized profusely.

Rosé shuffled slightly and shyly said. "Yea, I'm sorry for overreacting too. Please don't be mad at us and leave."

I sighed and nodded. Truthfully, I can only stay mad at them for so long. I knew that everyone didn't have any bad intentions when we were talking. "It's okay unnies, I'm sorry overreacting too. I guess we were all tired after a long day and I got too upset."

"I'm just kind of stressed about our contract details I guess...." I admitted quietly. It was always hard for me to talk about sad things with my unnies. I only wanted to show them my positive side.

"Yea, I get you. I've been on edge more these days too. I think we're all affected in our own ways." Jennie answered, pulling us all into a group hug.

"Let's just promise to talk things out next time. Whatever happens to us, as long as we are happy, that is enough." Jisoo added.

Rosé perked up and brightly concluded. "Yea! Blackpink isn't just us four girls, it's a state of mind. Blackpink is the revolution and we'll take that spirit with us wherever we go!"

"Wahh! Chipmunk, you said that in such a cool way!" I said in shock.

Interrupting our sweet moment, I remembered why I came home. "Oh! By the way, manager-nim told me to go to YG ent. today. It was so random and out of the blue."

"Really? That's weird. Do you think it's true then?" Jennie said.

We all looked at her questioningly and Rosé asked. "What? What's true?"

"I was talking to GD-oppa and he said that our company might be getting a new CEO after YG Saganim's gambling habits finally got exposed to the public." Jennie confessed.

My eyes widened at the shocking news. "Woah, I never knew things got that intense. Well, I hope that if we get a new CEO they'll be nice."

"It's okay, let's support each other during this time." Jennie added.

We all silently pondered. Jisoo broke the silence. "Anyways Lisa, where were you last night?"

I became flustered at her question. Knowing that they were going to tease the hell out of me, I confessed softly. "I... Uh, I went to Jungkook's apartment."

A chorus of shouts immediately erupts. from each of them. What?!"

"Omo! Lisa, that's so scandalous!!"

"Are you sure you guys aren't together?" They asked while squealing.

Awkwardly, I ran to my room to escape their questions. "I'm going to get ready now, bye unnies!"

"Yah, Lisa!!"
