Author's note: My first ever story, hope you like it!

Midnight, also known as Nemuri Kayama is patrolling around Shinzu City when she hears the whimpers... of a baby?

It immediately catches her attention and being the hero that she is, she approached the area where the sound is coming from. She saw two dumpsters, a garbage can at the side, and the cat on the dumpster's lid hissing at something inside of the filthy and trash filled dumpster. She quickly shooed the cat away from the dumpster.

What she saw broke her heart. It was a baby covered in red cloth. From the condition of the cloth, the baby was brought here just a few hours ago.

She quickly cradled the baby in her arms and cooed him. 'Who in their goddamn minds would leave a baby here?' she hissed in her mind.

The baby stopped crying. After that, Midnight is panicking. Thinking, 'What should I do?! Oh, right, call the police.' She hastily grabs her phone from her left pocket and dialed the police.

"Hello, this is the police department. How can we help you?" the voice from the other side of the phone spoke.

"Ah yes. I'm the Pro Hero Midnight. I saw an abandoned baby just down the alley of (Address)." She replied softly to avoid waking up the baby.

"We'll send in an ambulance and few of our men-"

"Please turn off the siren, the baby is currently sleeping." She interrupted.

"Alright, stay put." The call was dropped shortly after.

After several minutes, an ambulance came and took the baby. She hoped that the baby is healthy. A detective wearing a large coat and a cap walked towards her direction.

"Hello, I am Detective Tsukauchi. I would like to ask you a few questions, is that alright?" she nodded in reply.

            "Where did you find him?"

"I was patrolling when I heard someone crying. It led me to an abandoned alley. That's where I found him, lying in the dumpster, crying." She answered.

"Did you see someone walking away from the area you found him?"

"I don't remember seeing anyone walking away." The detective nodded and wrote something on his notebook.

"I have a suggestion, do you mind listening to it?" she nodded.

"You can either adopt him, or give him to us. The latter will end up on an orphanage. What do you think?"

This made her think. With all the hero work, she can be quite busy but she also doesn't want to leave him behind. She took a minute before answering, "I'll adopt him."

What she didn't know is that one simple baby changed her life. Meet Nemuri Kayama. A Pro Hero, single, and has a baby.

She visited the hospital to check up on the baby- her baby. The doctor told her that the baby is healthy, though he'll be needing breastmilk. This made her flush a bit, the thought of someone sucking her breast- goddammit Kayama, that's a baby! Clear your dirty thoughts, you vixen.

"What will you name him?" the doctor interrupted her thoughts.

            "Hmm... how about..."

"Izuku, come here and help me set up the table!" she yelled.

"I'm coming, mom!" The boy replied loudly.

Nemuri Izuku is now 4 years old. A lovely and kind boy, the freckles in his cheeks, the green hair complimenting his round face. He is cute. Kayama proved that.

He is setting up the table when they heard a knock from their apartment door.

"I'll get it!" The boy beamed. He opened a door revealing a tired man, smiling at him.

"Uncle Shouta!" The boy lunged himself forward to hug the tired man. Shouta reciprocated the hug.

"Don't forget me, little listener!" A tall, slim man with long blonde hair laughed. "Look how big you've grown." Izuku hugged cheery blond.

They both went inside to greet him a happy birthday. The tired man and the cheery blond helped set the table and finally, the food is done.

They all sat down in their respective chairs. Hizashi went outside to get something. He came back to reveal a cake with a candle already lit.

"Tell us your wish, little listener." The boy nodded.

"I wish... for a quirk that will protect my family and become the number one hero!" Everyone is smiling at the little green bean, her mother even sniffling a tiny bit.

They all hugged him at the end and continued to eat. Shouta asked Nemuri if he could train him, she gave him a nod.

"It's time for gifts!" The cheery blond said. "I'll go first."

Izuku received a gift from his uncle Hizashi. He was vibrating with excitement. He carefully un-wrapped the gift and saw an All Might poster with his signature on it. Izuku hugged his uncle tightly.

The next one is Shouta. He couldn't contain his smile at the sight of the cute green bean. So he went outside to get his gift and when he came back, there was a cat. It's an orange tabby cat.

"Thank you very much, Uncle Shouta!" Izuku carefully grabbed the cat from his arms.

"What will you name her?" His mother asked.

            "I'll call her Amber."

And with that, the birthday ended with hugs and tears. The next morning came; he played with his cat, Amber. It made him giggle at the cute sight; the cat doesn't seem to mind him very much and just lets him pet her.

He asked his mom if he could go to the park, she nodded. When he's walking his way to the park, he saw a girl with... vines? He shrugged the thought and continued walking when he heard a cry for help.

He went back to see the girl with vines for hair and an older looking boy bullying her. He's going to be the best hero so he can't let this one slide.

"Stop! What are you doing?!" He lunged himself to the bully, making the bully fall on his butt.

The bully then tried to get up so that he can punch the green bean but the girl used her quirk, raising her vine for hair to scare off the bully. 'This should be enough to not cause any unholy actions.' She thought.

"You're lucky today, vine demon! Next time, I'll destroy you." The bully ran away. This made Izuku hissed but left him alone.

"Are you alright?" the boy asked the vines for hair girl.

"I'm alright. Thank thy stranger." The girl replied. Izuku tilted his head in confusion. What is thy?

"I'm Nemuri Izuku, nice to meet you!" The boy lends his hand. The girl gladly took it.

"I'm Ibara Shiozaki, likewise." The boy widened his eyes at the sight of her hair. He has so many questions but he might scare her.

            "Is that your quirk?"

"That's right, my quirk is called Vine. I can control them but it's hard." She replied.

"That's so cool! I hope I get my quirk soon." That caught her attention. "Anyway, I need to go now! Bye, Ibara!" He rushed towards his home, not leaving her room for reply.
