Most kids have both of their parents to watch you grow and some have a single parent looking after you. If that parent can bring up their child with love and care he or she is a true parent. Sure you miss a mother or a father in your life but being strong and free of hatred will certainly help in overcoming the sorrow and the difficulties.

In my life my mother was my father and also sometimes Mary. My mother divorced my father when I was just two years old and married a wealthy man.

My father got me in the custody and he was single since then. He didn't go and marry some woman for his desires. He put his daughter first. My mother was no where around but my father advised me no to hate your mother; respect her because she was the one who brought you to life. So I followed his advice whenever my mother comes to visit me every six months. But then she flew off to Washington.

"What brings you here mother? Did Stacie come with you?"I ask eagerly. Stacie is my step sister who is two years younger than me.

"Hello Lia."Just as I ask my step sister appears from upstairs. Maybe she went to the bathroom but anyways as soon as I turn I got a Stacie hug. Let me define, when she gives a hug it collapse your bones. Her smell was mix with smoke and a powerful scent. I shrugged the smell just for now, I'll question her later.

"You have become more gorgeous sis. How many guys have laid eyes on you? Who am I kidding maybe you lost the count?"She tells me with a genuine smile on her face. Her shoulder length dark brown hair felt perfectly around her shoulders contrasting her chocolate brown eyes. Her dress fitted perfectly showing out her curves. I look like a wreck comparing to her.

"Look at yourself, you are blind."I state in matter of fact receiving a soft smack on my shoulder.

I take a quick glance of my mother sitting on the sofa drinking her beverage and at the same time her eyes fixed on a business magazine.

I checked my phone for no apparent reason and found that I had an unread voicemail so I hastily opened it to hear Cindy's voice."Hey Lia you want to go out tonight. You know get on with the things we missed the past months?"

I instantly message her asking the time and the place.

"You want to go out tonight?"I ask paying my attention on my step sister.

"Hell do I want."She was quick to reply with a beaming smile on her face. We both go upstairs exchanging our goodbyes with our mother because Stacie is staying at our place. I am glad that my mother didn't avoid us from going to a night club judging by her firmness.

We show our IDs to the guard and enter the club that Cindy messaged earlier. It was a typical club with music blaring off loudly and sweaty bodies dancing and grinding to each other. We make our way towards the bar meanwhile I search for a familiar brunette with grey eyes.

We order our drinks and sit near the counter when that memorable grey eyed girl strolls towards us with a smile on her face.

"Lianna, I almost couldn't recognize you."Cindy greeted me with a hug and sat beside me. I introduce Stacie for her. I filled her in with my job and she talked about her new boyfriend she met in Canada and that he is coming next week.

"So you are going to stay right?"I ask after having about three shots.

"Yep I am going to stay; I am buying an apartment next week and forget what I said earlier I might not be able to stay at your place." Cindy says in a sad tone.

Stacie has gone to the dance floor leaving Cindy and me. Stacie didn't drink much so she will be driving home. I don't want to drive while drunk and get my self in trouble. After having more shots I was having trouble speaking my words without stuttering. We spent few more hours meanwhile drinking and dancing too. We were barely able to talk but stutter. The same was with Cindy and in result Stacie had to help us both to get to the car which she did in a great difficulty.
