"God, please no!", I grimaced.
"You can't let this happen to me," was the repetitive thought in my head. Satirically I was an atheist, but only god could save me now.
Like a literal ray of hope, I could see a dim light. "Is it real," I wondered; I was also led to think I was most definitely hallucinating as the light dimmed out and I yelled,
"Help me please! HELP ME! I'm right here, please come and SAVE ME!"
"please...", I groaned as my desperate will to survive started to fade.
The light started re-emerging and intensified with every passing second. The coat of darkness engulfing me had finally been removed.
"Hold on, we're coming to get you," an enchanting voice finally replied. I heaved a sigh of relief. "Stay conscious for me, I'm almost there," the charming voice said again as my high pitched cries for help were not left unheard.
Hearing a human voice after what felt like decades raised my level of hope exponentially. But I wondered what was hidden behind that voice. The voice was honey and blood, dark and warm, golden and filled with shadow. It was beautiful yet decayed.
