Chapter 10

Vanilla and Honey.

That is what Juan Karlos smelled like, always.

I never thought I would miss that smell after 10 days of not talking to the one boy I have ever loved.

Our spark of interaction, well my spark of interaction, had...well...lost its spark. The little flame called love withered down until all that was left was ashes and I was like smoke dissolving into thin air.

My phone vibrates.

I slide my phone to check it.

It was a picture of him, smiling in all his glory with a giggling Stacy at his side.

karloslabajo01 : Hi JKfanatics! Just wanted to let you know I will be flying to New York and I will be there for a minimum of 6 months to record and film songs. My flight will be in an hour. Stay safe everyone!:):)

I stare at the caption.

It didn't take me long to hail a cab to the airport.

I burst through security and find his long, slicked back hair and his white tshirt.

"Juan Karlos!" I practically scream before he enters the last security check.

He snaps his head to look at me.

"What do you want?" He snaps with malice.

"Just.." I sob "Just tell me...tell me you were faking it. Tell me that all we had were lies. That you never loved me. Look at me in the eyes and show me you don't care and I will leave you. I'll stay here and you'll never see me again." I sob out desperately.

He stares at my eyes with dead, brown eyes.

"All we had were lies. I was faking it, and I never loved you. As for showing you, I would but I don't want to waste my time on you. In fact, I want to get away from you as soon as possible." He says before turning to leave.

I sob out, falling to the floor.

I guess, I really did lose him. But can you lose something you never even owned?

As the saying goes, a story is not a story without drama.

Nah, I'm kidding I made that up.

But don't worry, there are more drama to come.
