I glared at the ocean as we began getting close enough to start seeing Anchorage Piers.

How am I going to leave?

I have a feeling Branton is going to have an extra opinion on this stuff. He is not going to let me leave.

"Copper coin for your thoughts," Jae-Ha popped up out of nowhere and I shot him a weird look.

"Why would you try to pay me just to ask me what I'm thinking?" I frowned.

"It's a saying, Arcane," he sighed, "anyway what's on your mind? You've been staring at the ocean like it destroyed your life or something."

"I mean-- technically it did?" I shrugged before shaking my head, "but I was just thinking about how I want to go with you guys and Yona."

"Oh?" he raised a brow at my words, "like leave this ship and everyone on it kind of leave?"

"What other kind of leave is there left?" I glared at him, "you're annoying, old man."

"Now it may be that I am 25 years old, I am not an old man," Jae-Ha told me.

"You're eight years older than me. You're an old man," I looked off to the side indifferently.

"Why you--" he glared.

"But," I cut him off which caused his anger to diminish, "I don't think I'll get away without a fight."

Jae-Ha glanced over his shoulder, I did too and noticed Branton watching me from the helm.

"You got that right," the green haired dragon nodded as we looked forward again, "if you get into a fight, we'll help."

"No," I shook my head, he looked at me confused, "when I fight, I'll have to let my rage take over so you and the rest of your group need to get out of the way, the rest of the crew too. They won't have an issue with me leaving, it's just Branton. But I'm going to need someone to bring me out of it again once I'm done before I go and kill the whole of Anchorage Piers as well."

"You shouldn't rely on that power," he told me, "I have a feeling if you do, one day no one will be able to save you."

"I guess that if that happens then," I turned to him properly, "I'll leave it to you to kill me."

He turned to face me and stared at me with wide eyes.

"What're you talking about?!" he exclaimed, "I couldn't--!"

"Fine, I'll ask Shin-Ah to do it," I shrugged, "guess you're not strong enough to do it."

Why do I feel like I've had this conversation before?

It feels weird.

"Well anyway, at the rate we're going," I looked over to the shores, "we have about half a days worth of travel left. I'm going to nap."

I lazily waved and jumped up to the crows nest and close my eyes once I was comfortable.

Why did I feel like I've had that conversation before? So weird...

Oh well.

I shook my head and let myself drift off to sleep.

"Shu-Ten, I have a favour I need to ask you of," I walked forward.

"Hm? Sho? What's the matter?" Shu-Ten put his spear to the floor and leaned against it when he noticed my presence, "you look tired. Have you not been sleeping properly?"

"Well you haven't healed from those wounds I gave you a few days ago so you can't talk when you're training out here even harder than you usually do," I shook my head before sitting down on the wooden platform, he moved and sat down with me.

"So... what's the matter?" Shu-Ten asked, "you don't usually seek me out unless you want my alcohol or a sparring match. But considering what we're doing, I'm going to say it's neither."

I nodded.

"My... dragon powers," I started, "if... I go into my blind rage again but King Hiryuu can't bring me out of it again... can I ask you to do something for me?"

"Don't tell me..." Shu-Ten stared at me wide eyed, "you're not--"

"I want you to kill me," I told him, "kill me before I do something I can't reverse."

"Sho--" he shook his head, "no... I can't! You're my friend!"

"I'm not a friend when I'm like that!" I shouted, "I'm an enemy! I'm a... monster!"

Shu-Ten gave me a grim look but didn't answer.

"It... really affected you the other day didn't it?" he asked, I didn't answer, instead I turned my gaze to the floor sadly, "Sho. You're not a monster or an enemy, no matter how bad your real power is."

"That's not very convincing," I sighed, "but I guess, if you're not strong enough, I'll just ask Abi."

"Hey-! Wait a minute! You're not implying that the blue dragon is stronger than me, are you?" Shu-Ten shot me a slightly irritated look.

"I don't know," I shrugged, "is he?"

"Fine! I'll do it," he snapped, "I promise."

But then he realised what he said.

"Hey. That was a dirty trick," he glared at me.

"You made a promise. Don't go back on it," I told him as I stood up, "now that I've finally got that off my chest, I think I'll finally be able to sleep properly tonight. Thank you, Shu-Ten. I'm counting on you."
