I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I looked at my phone and stopped the ringing. It was 3:30am.
Why do I book my flights so early?
I got up and grabbed my clothes that I had picked out the night before. I had my purple singlet, a red knitted shirt with white bows on it to go over the top, my pink and black splashed jeans and my brown, buckle boots.
I went for a quick shower. When I got out, I got dressed, brushed my hair and put it up into a half up half down do, then headed towards the guest room.
"Boo!" Said all the boys and Kaylee as I opened the door.
"Scary." I smirked sarcastically. "What if I was in just a towel?" I added.
"I'm sure Christian wouldn't of minded that." Mitchel laughed.
Christian nudged him in the stomach.
"You've been changing in the bathroom since you were seven." Christian pointed out.
"Good point." I giggled. "I'm gonna miss you guys."
"Aww." They all said in unison as they got up and hugged me.
"We'll miss you too." Christian said.
"And this is the part where we make up subtle excuses to leave Christian and Tahnee alone." Brock said.
They all left leaving Christian and I alone.
"I have something for you." He smiled, grabbing a little gift from next to him.
I smiled and unwrapped it. My 'aww' face came on when I saw a pink and maroon wool bracelet.
"Thank you. I love it." I said. "I can't believe you still remember how to make these.
"It wasn't that long ago." He smiled.
"True."
When Christian and I were younger, we would always make pink and maroon bracelets out of wool. We used pink because it's my favourite colour and maroon because it's Christian's favourite colour. I always gave him the one I made, and he gave me the one he made.
"I feel bad because I haven't made you one." I said.
"Don't feel bad." He smiled.
I smiled back and kissed him lightly on the lips.
We soon left and got to the airport at about 5:00am.
We waited and waited until my flight was called.
"I'm gonna miss you!" Christian exclaimed as we hugged.
"I'm gonna miss you too." I said. "But I'll be back soo." I smiled.
I gave everyone else hugs and then walked onto the plane.
I found my seat and sat down. After a couple of minutes, a young girl who couldn't of been older than 10 and had long blonde hair came and sat next to me.
"Hello." She said nervously.
"Hey." I smiled.
She tried to smile back, but she seemed to scared.
"First time on a plane?" I asked.
"Yeah, and I'm by myself too, so that makes it even more scary."
"What's your name?" I asked.
"Amelia." She answered.
"I'm Tahnee. You don't have to be scared."
"Have you been on planes lots?" She asked me.
"I have. I go on planes all the time."
"Why?"
"I used to live here in Sydney, but then I moved to Adelaide." I said.
"So you come to Sydney to visit?"
"Yeah. Are you going to see someone?" I asked.
"Yeah, my parents got a divorce two months ago, so I'm going to see my dad."
We kept talking until the seatbelt sign came on and the flight attendant started talking and going through safety procedures.
Then the plane started moving and I could see Amelia getting really nervous and scared.
"It's okay." I smiled, grabbing her hand. "We can be airplane buddies."
She smiled back at me.
Our hands stayed linked until the plane was in the air.
We kept talking. She told me that she was 10, that she has a puppy name squiggles and her favourite colour is purple.
About 10 minutes into the trip, the plane started to shake.
"Sorry ladies and gentlemen, we are just experiencing turbulence." A voice over said.
"What does that mean?" Amelia asked, worried.
"It's okay, it just means that the plane is a bit shaky, but everything's okay." I reassured her.
Just then, the plane started shaking more and more.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please make sure your seat belts are fastened and apply the masks that have dropped." The voice over said.
"What's going on?" Amelia was terrified and so was I but I didn't was to show it.
"I don't know." I said, helping her put the mask on. I didn't care that the video says to assist myself first, I was helping this little girl.
After her mask was on, I put mine on, then I grabbed Amelia's hand.
Suddenly, the plane started going down super fast. Amelia was screaming and I hugged her tight, not letting go of her.
And that's the last thing I remember before everything went black.
