Chapter 11

When we got back to Christian's house, we decided to go down to the park.

The inner child in us all came out as we ran to the playground.

Christian pushed me on one swing and Mitchel pushed Kaylee on the other.

I laughed as I went higher on the swing.

"I'm gonna jump!" I said, I always jumped off of the swing.

"Okay!" Christian said

"Ready, 1... 2... 3." I counted, then, I launched myself off the the travelling swing. Unfortunately, this jump didn't agree with me. I landed on my right foot, and suddenly searing pain rushed through it.

My back was to everyone, so they didn't realise what had happened.

"Tahnee, are you okay?" Christian asked after a couple of seconds.

He and the others ran over to me.

"I'm fine." I said, trying to hide the pain filled look on my face.

"The last time I saw that expression on your face was when you broke your arm in year 4." Christian stated, leaning down next to me.

"I'm fine." I lied. "I just landed on my foot funny."

"Can you stand?" Luke asked.

"Yeah." I said, as I tried to stand. I let out a yelp as I tried to stand.

"We need to get you to a hospital." Christian said.

"Really, I'm fine." I said, trying not to cry.

"You don't have to hide with us." Christian whispered to me.

"I know." I tried to smile.

"Okay, we have to take you back to Christian's." Mitchel said.

Christian picked me up bridal style and he began carrying me back to his house, the others were following behind us.

We got to his house Christian called for his mum.

Christian explained what happened and Mary drove me to the hospital. Christian came with us.

A doctor x-rayed my foot, turns out, I just sprained my foot. It hurt a hell of a lot for just a sprain, but okay. The doctor strapped my foot and then he took Christian's mum to sign some paper work.

"I'm so sorry!" I said, putting my head in my hands.

"Why are you sorry?"

"I-I don't know." I laughed.

Christian put his arms around me and kissed my head.

We went back to Christian's. Everybody rushed up to me, making sure that I was okay.

"I'm fine guys, really, it's just a sprain, but I have to keep my foot elevated." I said.

"You know what that means don't you?" Tyrone asked.

"Please tell me it starts with movie and ends with marathon?" I questioned.

"Ding din ding!" Brock said!

Christian walked over to the DVD cabinet as the rest of us went to the couch.

"What movie?" Christian asked me.

"I don't kn- Wait! You haven't seen Mean Girls have you?!" I said.

"What!?" Kaylee exclaimed.

"We have to watch that!" I said.

Christian, Mitchel, Luke, Brock and Tyrone all rolled their eyes, but  Christian put the movie on anyway.

Christian came and sat next to me. I put my head on his shoulder but had my legs up the couch.

After 'Mean Girls', we watched 'Just Go With It' then we went and got our pyjamas on and took blankets, pillows and two mattress's into the lounge room. We then continued our movie marathon with 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark' then 'Case 39' then 'The Amityville Horror'

After 'The Amityville Horror' finished, I looked at my phone, it was 2:12am.

I looked around the room. Brock was on the other side of the couch, asleep, Tyrone was on one mattress, also asleep, Luke ended up on the floor, he was also asleep, and Kaylee and Mitchel were on the other mattress, and you guessed it, they were asleep.

"Christian?" I whispered.

"Yeah?" He whispered back.

"Oh good you're awake."

"Yeah. So, apart from the sprained foot, did you have a good birthday?"

"Amazing." I said.

He kissed my lips softly.

"Perfect." I smiled.

I switched off the tv and the DVD player with the remote, then I snuggled into Christian's chest as he leant back on the recliner chair.

"Goodnight beautiful." Christian whispered to me.

"Goodnight amazing." I whispered back, pulling the wooly blue blanket over us.
