Lavinia
Lavinia ran down the hallways and stumbled across them. The slate grey walls and teal carpets almost glowed with an underwater energy, like a crystal submerged under the ocean. "Help!!! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!", Lavinia screamed. She banged on the doors of the hotel rooms, but nobody opened their door to see what was going on. She looked behind her to see if she was still being followed, but when she looked up she was faced with a woman who startled her so badly she fell to the ground. The woman had long, grey-green hair that swirled around her neck and back, floating as if it was underwater. She wore a long, teal dress that matched the carpet of the hotel itself, which had dark blue ornamental threads that depicted images of the ocean, fish, and coral. Her dress floated in an underwater fashion in the same way as the woman's hair. "Oh thank god!! My name is Lavinia Howard, someone's trying to kill me, please help me get out of this god damned hotel-".
The woman held out her palm and blew a cloud of what looked like fish scales at Lavinia. Lavinia dropped to the ground, and her eyes closed, as she slipped into darkness.

The sound of waves crashing around her woke Lavinia, causing her to stumble back. She opened her eyes to see she was in the ocean, or rather, on the ocean. She was on a cluster of rocks, a reef. She had to have been miles from shore. It was the middle of the night, maybe 12:00 or 1:00 am. Lavinia started panicking when she realized she was not alone. The woman with the floating hair was there when she turned around. "Hello Lavinia. I'm so sorry that this has to happen, but unfortunately it has to be you. That's just the way New Innsmouth works... oh well.". The womans voice was nearly like a song, it echoed off of the rocks and the clashing waves around them. The woman extended her arms as she stood on the tallest rock in the reef. The woman's eyes rolled back into her head, as she whispered in a language that Lavinia couldn't understand. When the woman stopped her muttering, she collapsed and fell off of the rock and next to Lavinia. Lavinia scrambled to the edge of the reef, in hopes that she could potentially swim away, but before she even touched the edge of it, she saw what appeared to be a shark's fin gliding through the water. She watched as 2 more fins sliced through the surface, causing her to step back in fear. Just then, she felt the woman grab her and wrap her arm around Lavinia's neck. Shadowed figures emerged from where the shark find surfaced from the dark waves, with glowing green eyes and scales that reflected the moonlight off of them. They looked like something from a nightmare mixed with undersea creatures, like an ancient animal that should have been extinct millions of years ago. The three creatures shambles onto the reef, all 3 of them howling like the wind during a tornado. Something kept Lavinia from fainting immediately, maybe the rushing adrenaline in her veins. "The Ancient Ones... please accept this offering.", the woman said. The creature in the middle looked like a mixture of a fish, a dragon, and a huge lizard, but what startled Lavinia was the part where it spoke. " I am Dagon, the King of The Sea.... your blood will satisfy.... for now.". The woman, who was still holding Lavinia in an elbow lock, spoke from behind Lavinia, in a nearly scared tone. "I promise more offerings soon, Lord.", the woman said. The creature leaned forward, towering over Lavinia from the ocean. Suddenly, Lavinia felt her throat be slit open, as the woman sliced through her neck with a sharpened fingernail. Lavinia fell to the ground, as her blood poured out of her bleeding throat, and onto the water. The creature leaned over her with his fish-like face, which, for a moment, turned into that of a man. The creatures new face leaned over her, and kissed her forehead. Immediately, her illusion shattered, and the creature turned back into its aquatic reality. Lavinia's eyes began to feel heavy, and her breath shortened until her vision darkened, and the sound of the crashing ocean pulled her into darkness.
