Elizabeth
She felt her bare feet on the concrete of her porch, and screamed, as Rachel jumped onto her, tackling her to the ground. Rachel's yellow eyes stared into Elizabeth's soul as Rachel gripped her talon- like hands around Elizabeths neck. Elizabeth summoned all her strength, and forced Rachel off of her. Rachel flew as if she had been grabbed, but Elizabeth didn't even touch her. Maybe it was the power she gained from Rachel biting her. Elizabeth stood up frantically, and looked to see her boyfriend, Jay, on the ground. He was bleeding out, from a wound on his throat.  "No.... Jay... it's gonna be ok! You're going to be fine." Elizabeth dragged him through the open door leading to the inside of her house, but when she turned back to see if Rachel was still there, she heard Jay speak. "Elizabeth... look out....". Elizabeth heard something clatter to the floor next to her and Jay. It was a small, silver canister, which rattled. Elizabeth stepped back, but it was too late. The canister burst, releasing a grey, hazy smoke around them. Elizabeth felt her eyes getting heavy, and she slowly collapsed to the floor.

Elizabeth jolted upward and looked around her, gasping for air. She saw beeping machines around her, and she had wires hanging from her arms, attaching to her wrists and ankles. She looked around, as the sterile scent of the hospital filled her nostrils. "Welcome back.", she heard a familiar voice say. She turned to see her friend Savanah, sitting by her bed. "What.... what happened? I had to most awful dream..."  Savanah shifted in her seat. Elizabeth noticed a cluster of gifts by her door, and 2 succulents, which she assumed where supplied by Diamond and Major, since they worked at a plant store. Savanah spoke from beside Elizabeth, in a somber manner. "Elizabeth.... I doubt that was a dream. I'm sorry, but Rachel escaped her institution. She came to your house 2 days ago, and attempted to kill you and Jay. Unfortunately, Jay didn't make it. She ate his heart and ran off. We couldn't save him. You were dead as well... but we managed to bring you back." Elizabeth felt her stomach sink slowly into darkness, and a chill crept up her spine. Tears rushed to cool her face as rage consumed her. She screamed so loudly that nurses came running in through the door of her room to calm her. After she calmed slightly, and was able to formulate a sentence, she spoke in a shaky voice. "So.... what else happened.", she asked. Savanah grabbed Elizabeth's hand to calm her.  "Allow me to explain."

Savanah

The night of the attack on Elizabeth and Jay

Savanah stepped out of the shower and dried herself and her hair with a towel. After styling her hair, she walked towards her room. She put on a t shirt and sweatpants, and prepared to sleep. The night sky shimmered with stars, and Savanah was about to sleep when she felt static fill her mind and veins. She fell to the ground, and tried to help herself up, but she could barely walk. Like something was draining all of her energy from her body. When the fatigue finally stopped, she noticed her engine sitting next to her. A text from her group chat with her friends popped up with an eerie message:

👁Diamond👁: Did u guys feel that?
Major🌿: Yes. We need to get to Elizabeth's house. I sense something is gravely wrong.

Savanah began to type back to them, confirming that she would be there.

Savanah🦋: I'll be there.

Savanah ran towards Elizabeth's front porch, and saw Major and Diamond with their mouths wide open, as if they were in shock. Savanah reached the porch. They moved away from the doorway, revealing something that chilled Savanah to the bone. Elizabeth. She was bleeding from her throat, which appeared to be slit completely through. It didn't look like something Elizabeth would have done to herself. It almost looked like some kind of wild creature had ravaged her body. She had scratches and bruises all over her body. "She's dead. And so is her boyfriend. " Savanah looked off of the side of the porch as Diamond gestured toward it, with tears in her eyes. She saw Jay's legs poking out from behind a flower bush, his feet mangled like he had been thrown. "Guys... what do we.... what do we do?", Diamond said, through her sobs. The darkness of the night steeped into her body, as if she was being plunged into cold water. "We can bring her back. Don't lose hope. We have power now, but we always have. I think I know what to do.", Major said, her voice shaking, yet confident still.

They used the shadows to hide as they slipped into Elizabeth's basement. The girls dragged her lifeless body into the basement, closing the screen doors, and drawing the blinds closed. Major waved her hand and the lights came on, illuminating the basement. Savanah helped the other girls hoist Elizabeth onto a pool table, which they had moved into the center of the basement. The silence that took over the atmosphere of the conversation was only broken when the waves of the lake lapped at the shore, and the bump of Elizabeth's family boat hitting the dock startled Diamond slightly. "So.... how can we bring her back? And what about Jay? Shouldn't we bring him back as well?", Diamond questioned. "Remember that after we collected what.... remained... of poor Jay's body, there was no upper body. We can't bring him back, he's too far gone, but we CAN save our sister. She takes priority. Now, go collect some candles from upstairs, and I'll prepare the ritual". Diamond rolled her eyes, but walked up the stairs in search of candles. "Now Savanah, help me set up this ritual". Major handed her a few crystals to place around and on Elizabeth's body. Major set up small cones of incense all throughout the room. Savannah's eyes began to tear up as she looked at Elizabeth's corpse..... it was something she hoped she would never have to see. Her tears were interrupted by Diamond, running downstairs with about 12 various candles. She handed them to Major, who positioned them with focus and precision. "I have a lighter if you nee-". Diamond was cut off by Major. "Oh they won't be necessary.", she said, waving her hands again, lighting each candle, and all of the incense cones at once. "Gather around sisters. Interlock our hands. We will connect our life forces to piece together new life for Elizabeth". Savanah gripped Diamond and Major's hands, and they all closed their eyes. Major began to whisper words, that didn't seem to be English, under her breath. The more she whispered, the higher the intensity of the energy around them. The flames of the candles began to grow, whipping around as wind began to circulate around them. Savanah felt her knees start to tremble, as if she was losing her energy. Suddenly, every candle burned out, leaving smoke and darkness in the basement, as the lights flickered out. Savanah heard a gasping sound, and as the lights flickered back on, she saw something that shocked her to her core. Elizabeth. She was sitting up on the table, with all of her wounds, but still breathing. She looked around at the other girls, and did, what we all would probably have done. She shrieked at the top of her lungs, and fell off of the pool table they had set her on. Major and Diamond helped to slowly set her onto the couch. "What the FUCK happened to me?? Why are there weird candles everywhere?", Elizabeth exclaimed.  "To make a long story short, you were just murdered.", Major said. "What the hell are you talking about. I was just with Jay. Where is he?", she asked, frantically. Diamond stepped forward to comfort her. "Calm down Elizabeth, we just brought you back from the dead. " , she said, softly. "HOW IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MAKE ME CALM???", Elizabeth shouted. "We're so sorry, but Jay was beyond saving. I felt his soul was missing, like there was never life in him in the first place. It was strange. But you are going to be alright. " Major said, in her calmest voice. Elizabeth began to sob hysterically, which was reasonable. Major looked frustrated, as if she didn't know what to do. Savanah stepped over to her. "So... what are we going to do?", Savanah asked. "This.", Major said. Major waved her hand in Elizabeth's direction, and Elizabeth collapsed, her eyes closed. "Um.... is she ok?", Diamond asked. The smell of smoke from blown out candles filled the air. "Of course , shes just temporarily unconscious until we find out a solution". Savanah rolled her eyes and sighed. "Ok well what do we do. This town hates us. The police will never believe Lizzies a victim if shes perfectly fine. She looks like a murderer.", Savanah said. Diamond exclaimed back, "Shes not a murderer! How could you say that?". "I hate to say it, but Savanah's right on this one. We know that Lizzie is innocent, but nobody is going to believe that. We need a plan. Fast".
