How lonely am I?

Percy scolded himself as he followed behind Jason. After lunch yesterday, things began to go steady. Jason, Frank, and Piper had stayed up with them to sing and eat s'mores. Jason wasn't too fond of them, so Percy ate most of his. It was a fun little break, spending much of the day away from chores. He was more grateful that he only had a few hours of training to get done the next day.

Ever since he woke that morning, his mind had been glued to the things he conjured up during lunch and dinner. He could remember watching Jason as he ate his own food, thinking of what it must feel like to kiss his cheeks. Gods, when did he become a creep? He had gone to sleep asking himself that, because this was far from normal bromance thoughts.

It remained heavy in his brain. He had gotten up wondering why such thoughts had come around. But then things took a turn in his mind as he washed his face and brushed his teeth; would Jason even be interested in that? Possibly not. He had said that Piper called him detached in the last stages of their relationship. Was Percy getting ahead of himself?

Back to reality. He was still following Jason, approaching the training arena. Jason had taken an interest in Percy's to do list, asking to join in with him. Who was Percy to say no? A day full of technically play fighting with his bro? Jason was only his bro and shall stay his bro.

"Alright... I call dibs on first defense." Percy gave Jason a smirk as he strapped on a leather chest plate. It served good enough protection from cases when someone would get too carried away. As Jason did the same, Percy readied Riptide. He twisted his wrist in a graceful circle, twirling his sword as he did so. Not even two minutes after, Jason stood. He had his own leather chest plate strapped to his body, rolling his neck and shoulders as he prepared himself physically.

What if we just cuddle once? Not even a relationship. Can't be gay if we wear socks, right?

Jason got into position as Percy tried to reel his thoughts back in. Taking a deep breath to steady himself, he took a small step back and lifted his sword, watching the blond's sky blue eyes gleam competitively. He swung first, stepping forward with his right while keeping his left planted to the ground. A basic lunge was meet with a basic parry as Percy shifted his feet to steady himself from the impact.

Pro, Jason says yes.

Finished with his attack, Jason pulled back into the defensive position in time to stop a series of attacks delivered from Percy. Once his remise was done, Jason moved to deliver his counter attack. A side swing to Percy's hip was stopped by Riptide as Percy spun out of the way, retreating to better his defense.

Con, he could think I've actually gone bonkers and our friendships crashes and goes up in a fire explosion.

Yet another lunge and jab to Percy's less protected side. The raven haired reacted at the last minute, arching his body to narrowly avoid the blade before he brought his down towards Jason's firm grip on the sword. A miss.

Pro, I could so use some serious cuddles... Maybe I am lonely.

Another switch in roles left Percy on the defensive side, parrying off a strike towards his shoulder and jumping back from a swipe to his thighs.

Con, Jason just says no and I feel like a complete and utter fool... Nah, I already feel like a fool.

Percy moved quickly, putting a good distance between them to ready himself. Jason was right behind him, arching his sword towards his best friend's slim torso. Only, Riptide yet again locked against Gladius, sliding up against the imperial gold before shoving him away,

Pro, Maybe he says yes and cuddles get more serious. I wouldn't complain. Con, I'm such a fool... He couldn't possibly have a crush on me. I'm just insane.

The counter attacked played by the sea green eyed boy was mostly a few poorly aimed slashes at Jason, who easily parried the attacks with an amused smirk.

Pro, He says yes and the cuddles are the best thing ever.Con,the exact opposite...

Percy steadied his stance before lunging again, smashing his sword into Jason's, who shifted his own stance to absorb the impact. They parted once again, both staring challengingly at the other with their swords held at the ready, tempting each other to strike.

Pro, I could take the chance and our friendship goes up a level.

Then Jason moved in for the attack, playing out a remise to try and weaken the defense. When Percy grunted and moved to defend them, he feinted the attack and changed directions to slam his sword down on Percy's guarded hip.

Con, I waste the opportunity and stay his bro.

One last slash down towards Percy's shoulder had Percy dropping to the ground. The only thing stopping him from laying flat on the ground was his arm he had propped himself up on. He was under Jason's defense. Noting the tiny flicker of surprise in the sky blue eyes, Percy jabbed his sword straight up, stopping just as the point of Riptide met Jason's jaw. There was a tense moment where they just stared at each other, a smirk playing at the son of Poseidon's lips. It was a victorious look, yet subtle. It was met with amusement in the sky blue eyes as he dropped the sword to his side, admitting defeat.

Five to Five... Back to square one.
