Birthday

Prompt: Jane's Birthday, Cathy get's up early to prepare a surprise for her

Cathy was lying on her back in bed, staring at Jane's beautiful face. She was everything Cathy could ever want, she was kind, caring, the perf- RING!! RING!! RING!! Suddenly, Cathy's alarm went off, she jumped out of bed, ready to go. Today was Jane's birthday and she deserved the world.

Cathy slid down the railing, landing right at the bottom of the staircase. She headed straight to the kitchen, where she began taking everything she needed for the cake out. 

An hour later, 5:30, she had just slid the cake into the oven. Next, she moved to the lounge room where she started hanging up grey and blue decorations. 

Taking a rest on the couch, she smiled. At 6:00, Anne and Kat came running down the stairs.

"Cathy, wake up!" Kat yelled, Anne behind her, "Me and Anne are going to make cookies while you prepare everyone else!" 

Cathy nodded and smiled, glancing down at her pocket. She went upstairs, changing into some jeans and a white t-shirt and then headed off to wake Anna and Catherine up. 

Catherine first. "WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" she yelled, excited. Catherine sighed, rolling out of bed.

Then Anna. "ANNA ANNA ANNA ANNA!" She still didn't move. So Cathy did the only reasonable thing, she poured water on her. 

"I'm getting up! I'm getting up!" Anna sighs, slipping out of bed. 

Soon, everything was ready and Jane came downstairs, surprised by everything the queen's had done for. 

Cathy got up, tears in her eyes, reaching for the small hard box in her pocket but Kat got there first.

"Jane, you have helped me in every way you could, you are the best person I know, can you be my mother?" Kat asked, crying.

Jane smiled, nodding slightly, crying too but Cathy lurked in the corner of the room. She smiled slightly, slipping the ring back into her pocket. Today wasn't her day.
